22nd - 28th January 2024: Weekly True Sidereal Astrology Forecast

Welcome everyone to this week's true sidereal forecast. 

On January the 21st, the Sun moved from the stars of adventurous Sagittarius to the stars of Capricorn the mountain goat. The Sun will be holding its current energy until February the 17th. Click here to read more about the current business and goal orientated Capricorn season. 

Presently, when we focus on the Sun's encounters at the moment, we must make note of its conjunction with Pluto. This bring intensity and even destruction to the qualities of Sun in Capricorn. The combination between two malefic planets such as Saturn (Capricorn's ruler) and Pluto is a celestial combination that we must be weary of. This transit is associated with a threat of loss in any area of life, but it could also be a creative destruction that opens the way for a new beginning. Some areas of life that need to change will face powerful forces of transformation, and it is usually the case that you will initially resist this change and feel threatened by it.  The outcome of this transit depends much on your attitude. If you acknowledge and accept Saturn's role in your life, you can change the structures of your life in a gradual, rational, and effective way. Remember that Saturn is the stern Father archetype who instils rules, lessons and disciplines us in the area of our chart of which he rules/is transiting right now. However, as Pluto is conjunct the Sun which is in Capricorn, it is likely our personal responsibilities and aspects of ourselves that will see the most transformation. For example, you may feel an increased drive to achieve power, influence, status and success at this time and your commitment to achieve this will be highly intensified. With the Sun squaring Jupiter, be careful not to get in your own way and miss opportunities by self doubt and pessimism. Keep an open mind and stay positive. 

Our emotions may feel up and down this week with the Moon making harsh aspects to Venus and Neptune. Try to keep your emotions clearly separated from your imagination, dreams and desires as you may be more likely to make more emotional decisions rather than logical ones. Our heart space is also conflicting with our emotions which can make for a difficult time in connections but how so is specific to you and your natal chart. 

Intellectually we are opportunistic this week and this is a rather good week for decision making. However, despite Mercury making positive aspects to Mars (our strength) and Jupiter (our luck), watch out for Mars' tendency to make impulsive decisions as a result of an active mind. Except this specific placement leads me to believe that despite this excess mental energy, the support of Jupiter will have your communications with others, ideas and decisions bringing good luck.
