Happy October, everyone!
I technically made that video as a reaction to the resolution of the recent tremor in the crust of pop culture (and as a counter to my initial response), but I thought it was just as appropriate to express my feelings about my recent progress on the Omnibus! Well, except for that last bit. Just assume that the happy stuff pertains to the book.
See, now that none of my parents or machinery require invasive surgery and recovery, and thanks very much to your kindly support, I’ve finally broken real ground on the Zebra Girl compilation! I’ve finally finished designing the intricate decorative borders for the numbered pages, and I’m converting images from the old printed volumes to the new format.
Not only that, along the way I’m including “director’s commentary” for each one! Which is something that I thought would be problematic, but it’s turning out to be a lot of fun to review those old drawings, reminding myself of all these little details that went into the process back in the day. I’m remembering more than I thought I would! I can’t wait to share it all with you. Ideally, the book will be ready to sell sometime next year, a 20th anniversary celebration!
Meanwhile, thanks again, everyone. I'm not kidding when I say that your support has helped to keep me and my family going through an almost hilariously rough patch. It's great to have friends! I hope you have a wonderful Fall. And a soft landing!
Heh. Get it? Because.... Well. You get it.
