Critique the Cover, Cherish a Song
Added 2020-02-16 23:27:57 +0000 UTCSo! This is what I've done for the cover of my interminable Omnibus. Would you buy a book that looked like this? Is it good? Too dark? Too little color? I need input! I've got to finish this whole thing this year, you know! Hopefully in the next few months. Have to be patient, do it right....
You might notice that it looks familiar. The design is from within the comic! See? Zandra's book! In fact, I took a slice from that very bottom right panel and blew it up to use as a base in Photoshop. You still might see the ghost of it under all the work if you squint reeallly hard.
And do you like the font? I made it myself! You can download it at FontStruct, but I wouldn't recommend it. It's rather piecemeal, an altered version of Tomie's letters. I only modified the letters I needed for the title. Maybe I'll finalize it after I complete the book. Patience, patience, got to try to be patient, still so many more pages to finish....
Ah! But if you want something that's actually finished, a talented reader of Zebra Girl who calls himself Luposian made a short tune which he tells me was inspired by the Bloofer Lady's final moments. Thank you, friend. Download it, have a listen! I think it's wonderful.
