Now, I’m pretty sure this wasn’t what you would’ve expected from a poem dedicated to Black Betty. But I want kids to be able to open this book, y’know? No nudity! And more to the point, as someone observed back in the day, for all of her implied threat, we never actually saw Betty do anything really malicious before she hooked up with Zandra, which slightly undermined her air of menace. Well, as this poem attests, Betty did once engineer the abduction of an entire village’s children. So there’s that.
Has she changed since then? Why did she do it? What happened to the children? Maybe we'll learn one day.
I really hope you enjoy what I’m putting out here. I still think of Witch Warp every day, and the Omnibus, and my fan comics, and now this. Lord, with so many projects you think I’d have something to show you every day!
By the way, I’m considering switching to the new Patreon payment model. Any objections? If not, I’ll go ahead and do that. Shouldn't make too much of a difference, but I'm so grateful for your support. I want to make sure I don't screw anything up for anybody.
