In Free Cities: Rebirth the future of the human race has become all but certain, and the very fabric of humanity is in your hands. As the leader of one of the last bastions of the human race, you are in a unique position to shape what humanity will become.

The Arcology is yours to oversee, but how will you best govern those who submit themselves to your care? Will you choose to be a merciful ruler, a maniacal tyrant, or a genocidal warlord? Who do you entrust to help you steer society? Should religion be embraced and exploited for your benefit, or outlawed as a barbaric tradition? How will you enact justice and order in a world bent on chaos? In this crumbling world it is in your hands to decide how to keep the Arcology surviving, and prosperous.

You will be given the opportunity to forge a society that will shape the lives of all those who live under you. Will you let those you rule enjoy freedom to live their lives as they see fit, or will you enforce strict restrictions upon them? Will you force genetic changes on your citizens to adapt them to survive, strip your populace of access to technology, or implant control chips in the heads of everyone? How will you decide what rights people have, and which policies will keep people alive in a world that has become hostile to human life?

What is it that makes us human? In Free Cities: Rebirth you have the ability to direct scientific goals and the power to make change on a large scale. Would you engineer imperfections out of the human genome? Would you research and embrace cybernetic enhancements that blur the line between man and machine? Perhaps you would invest in genetic manipulations, modifying the very building blocks of the human species? Maybe even leave our bodies of flesh behind. How would you decide the best path for the human species?
