As those of you who watched my recent video know, Knick was created as an example of the Esotericist subclass from Taron Pounds' "The Merchant" class. But since the Merchant is a player character class and I am becoming more and more reticent to burden DMs with complicated NPC mechanics, I decided that for this download, I would simplify Knick in several ways. In this version, she is a limited spellcaster with a cursed bag of holding. Her abilities and stock, rather than being general arcana and magic items, are specific to cursed items. As a neutral character, she would be well-suited as a quest-giver, unreliable ally, or even a resource for your baddies.

She is built to complement parties around third to fifth level, but of course I have included level notes so that you can scale her to suit your own table. Coming soon: The "Knick's Knacks" PDF, which details the inventory and services available from Knick's shop.

P.S. I usually have these creations reviewed by at least one other writer before publication, but due to a tight schedule and how late these PDFs already are, this one is a bit more untested than normal. Please do not hesitate to let me know if you spot anything amiss!
