If there was absolutely zero chance for Chai to make it out of this alive, I'd have just let the KEM-N0 rip his head off and been done with it. Fewer pages to draw for me lol
But I like letting characters face ridiculous odds. Because that makes it all the more satisfying if they manage to overcome them. Chai's got a chance, not just to survive but also to win. It's a small chance, true. But it can be done.
On that hopeful note, there's currently a heat wave where I'm at, which makes working on pages awful. I'm gonna slow down for a bit until it has passed.

(I promise I'm rooting for him haha, I just like angst and totally agree with you about enjoying seeing characters face seemingly insurmountable odds!) Also the power of 808 should not be understated! 808 Gigawatt Cat Attack is my favorite special. It's never really clarified, so I'm curious if you think that Chai can control the bpm of his player or if it's entirely subject to the environment. Cause the former would definitely open up some interesting possibilities for the fight! I hope you can stay cool though and the heat wave passes quickly, take care of yourself! And I wanted to ask if fanart is okay? Not sure if I'll make anything but the comic always inspires me to draw when it updates! Of course I wouldn't post anything publicly until any relevant pages are released, but it's a-okay if fanart is something you want to avoid entirely!
