It's Christmas Time In The Nothingness

Dave.EXE's Community Update News
Some of you may have seen the announcement for the Dave.EXE Character Contest I posted over on my socials. It's a chance for YOU to create an enemy concept design and submit it for a chance to have it featured in the next content update to the game. Starting from December 15th 2022 and ending on January 15th 2023. We'll pick and announce two winners at the end of the contest and contact them via Twitter or Discord to work out how they'll be implemented into the game, as well as get to know any extra necessary details about the character.

Now for the ACTUAL game news y'all have been waiting for.

Bookshelves and sliding/crouching under holes in walls won't be your only method of escape. Introducing a scrapped mechanic now seeing the light of day once again... Vaulting! And Fences? AND climbable walls!?


Yes! Every map will contain at least 2-3 Climbables to introduce new ways to evade enemies. Newer maps going forward will expand on this mechanic and be built around it more.
And perhaps you can already tell from the first screenshot above, there is a new dye cosmetic type coming into the game. Can you guess what it is?

And that about wraps up all the Dave.EXE news! I don't know about you, but it's been getting rather cold around here in the Nothingness. I mean yeah, perhaps it's just because it's that time of year, y'know. Christmas and all that. But I've been leisurely traveling around in the Time Portal recently and saw this small opening into another timeline I had never seen before. I felt a strong wind coming from it, as if it was upon high elevation. I saw dim lights appear in the darkness, then snuffed out, as if the cold air had snapped the powerlines. Then I saw something, almost frozen in place like a photograph. It stared back at me, beckoning me to enter.
I sense the aura of nocturnal evil within...
Vex Clock News
I've been working on Vex Clock in the background this month for a bit, getting some of the checkpoint maps for the city district done. I've been quite busy with Dave.EXE work lately that I've had less time to dedicate to this game, I will admit. But I'm hoping to make significant progress by the end of the month to have something to show and talk about on the next progress report over on Steam.
