Four Arrangements from Star Ocean: The Second Story

Moderate has some cool time signature changes throughout. Misty Rain is a pretty spooky piece that is rather easy to play. Mist Began to Form reminds me of the FF Prelude arpeggios.

I am actually really surprised that the Star Ocean 2 soundtrack did not re-use the melody and progression from Moderate in another track, for a boss battle or dungeon, but in the bombastic high energy synth style of those other tracks.

2024-09-24 19:23:51 +0000 UTCAbsolutely loved your rendition of Moderate. That song has a lot of things I like about it but it's also a bit grating in the original game, and the remake is a little too orchestrated, so I think you did a great job pulling out the good stuff.
