Added 2023-11-06 10:07:06 +0000 UTCI’ve been working on a commission for author Victoria Aveline of her two main characters in her book! She sent me the spicy sex scene and some really fun reference for the bedroom style. It’s very dark, gothic, alien, warrior vibes and I’m here for it!
The first sketch was my first crack at it but I forgot his tail and I had to rethink the pose because they are supposed to be having sex on the rug in front of the fire. (He eats her out on the bed haha) So I did this next one and moved them to the floor and made it a little more passionate. His character is pretty broody and severe but he has been lusting after our protagonist for a long time. Even though he is very dominant, the first sketch felt a little too impersonal. I was going for back arching pleasure, and I’m sure they looked like this at some point during their lovemaking, but I thought an ass grab was much more “you’re mine but I need you closer.” I didn’t want this to be mistaken for any old sex!
She didn’t have a description for his tail and I usually do a snappy demon tail but decided since he’s a hurly alien warrior who is usually decked out in black armor, he needed a beefier tail.
I’m also conflicted about claws, even with my own characters. I LOVE claws, borderline talons, but I love a good finger bang so either they have to be retractable or have shapeshifter capabilities. That’s a perfectly sound justification right? I’m keeping the claws in.
I can’t wait to color this one! It’s going to be very moody and dramatic. There’s a round, ornate skylight right above them as well as the impressive fireplace behind so it will make for some interesting lighting.
