Daily Update 8/25

Ok so the all the rooms in the house are done. I was getting ready to start working on animations but decided against it. Only because just having the rooms done and decorated doesn't mean too much when it comes to the game. I need to have all the imagebuttons for rooms done, and I need to get it all coded so that players can walk around the house or whats the point. So that's what I am about to start working on. As soon as I finish the house imagebuttons and coding them, then I need to start on redoing all of the images and imagebuttons for characters in the house at different times of day, if I don't then it will end up with the weird jumping thing where you jump back and forth between the new and old house. Which to me just screams immersion breaking. So its going to be somewhere around 850 images for the new imagebuttons. I think for the talking stuff I am going to use the avatar system I made before instead of doing all those talking images again. So that will just be coding work and it will have the new house backgrounds that way. Hopefully that all makes sense.

Also the reason why I did not get as much done today yet that I wanted to is crazy. I took my dog on a walk to the store as soon as I woke up this morning. Then on the way back a heard a thud, looked around and couldnt figure out what the thud was, so I just assuming the passing car backfired or something. So I kept walking, I then heard a wailing noise looked to my right and saw a kitten walking all wobbley in the street, I walked over and picked it up, then looked around trying to figure out where the kitten came from and what to do with it. I noticed some construction sounds around the block, which made me think maybe the kitten was running from the noises, then I looked further up the road and saw what the thud was, the kittens mother was in the middle of the road dead. So I took her home, noticed she was COVERED in fleas. She is also only around 4 or 5 weeks old, I couldn't get her to eat or drink anything. So instead I spent 4 hours giving the kitten a flea bath and using a flea comb to get as many fleas off of her as possible. After that I called my nephew because he loves cats and recently split with his GF and she took the cat. So I was like hm... this could work out well, showed him the kitten, he went and got some formula food for her and we gave her a second flea bath and sat there for a few more hours picking the fleas off of the kitten. Then he left and Around 7-8 hours after I woke up, I was finally able to get started on map making. So yea she is doing fine now so thats good. But onto the images for the rooms I finished today.
