Update Info
Added 2025-02-25 02:44:08 +0000 UTCUpdate is coming along nicely.
If you took mental notes from the last few updates you would know that there are the DemonContinent00 - DemonContinent12, "chapters" of dialogue.
And the KishirikaConvo01-KishirikaConvo10 + KishirikaDate01-KishirikaDate05
And lastly the DemonContinent13-DemonContinent18 Which take place after the Dates.
Mainly in the timeline here its like a couple demon continent chapters then a kishirika convo, followed by a demon continent chapter, and another kishirika convo, repeat until out of convos and dates.
After that its just the final parts of the update. I am currently up to 900 Renders done + all the renders for the new base through all the levels of building it. As it will be happening over time in between the convos and whatnot so it has a grow with you kinda vibe.
The point of this message is just to say I finished getting all the new base renders done for basic navigation. I also did the first couple sex scenes, Mainly so I could show some spicy stuff in this post lol. So Roxy lovers rejoice!
I am going to take the rest of the day off from making renders though, as I finished the base, and pivot to labeling and coding them, and getting the imagebuttons for them done. I want to start putting the world together, as of right now, sure I have a couple chapters worth of images and videos,
but what does that matter if it is just a slide slow in the game? Like its not coded labeled or anything? So I decided to spend today and tomorrow getting that done. The longest streak of story that is all one section, how do I word this? Like no player choice?
Like you dont do the whole click to go here or there or talk to this person or that person, during the first few sections of the new update, just read and click to see the next image kinda thing what is that called?
Not Sandbox mode but Novel mode? IDK something like that I cant think of it I am too freaking tired lol. But yea Basically everything from the waking up on the day you leave to go to the demon continent, till the first couple of days there, staying in an inn, sex with Roxy, waking up the next morning,
leaving with aisha to check out the building she bought. All of that is one continuous story with no player interaction at all. Then after that it drops you back into the sandbox mode, and you can take control of your character and move around the demon continent.
Which is why since I finished all the images for that long stretch of stuff, and the images for the base, I want to code it into the game now.
Which means I have some decisions I need to make. For Example, as Rikari's house is only ever used for that one scene where Roxy basically forces her to come along, is it worth it to have a teleport to go back there? Just to say the update has more content?
Like the Inn, there are multiple rooms in the Inn and you do stay there for a couple of days, is it worth it to make that a place the player can come back to so that they can check it out for themselves?
I mean one of Kishirika's dates does take place there.... So IDK? I would like some feedback on those things.
But if I don't have things like that then the "World" of the demon continent in this update will essentially be, main town (A couple of areas with NPCs, and 2 market areas.) and the Base (2 floors, 1st floor is split in half with 2 entrances the Rude Merc Company is one half, the dining room is the other half
with stairs to go to the 2nd floor where the bedrooms and bathroom are.) So no where near as big of an area as the first arc of the game, but also I feel like at the same time its basically the same. All depending on how you look at it.
Because sure there is the University, the market, and the castle in Ranoa, but you only really go there to talk to the new girl a couple of times, and thats really it. So when it comes down to it, its only the house, and the office. Everything else happens in the book and transitional screens,
like I never made it a thing to go to the beach, or clothes shopping store, or bar on your own. Maybe I should have but that just felt like padding out content to make something look larger than it really was, which is why I never did it, and instead focused on trying to implement the random NPCs.
I do only have 20 made for this update, and have to split them up around the town, Inn, and market. But still its more npcs than Ranoa had. Not by much though. I am just HORRIBLE like straight up blank completely when I am forced to come up with random NPC dialogue.
Which is why for this update I did nearly all the writing, and the only thing I asked Hagren to do was to come up with the random NPCs dialogues. If anyone is good and coming up with random dialogue and want to help feel free to message me on discord. More random dialogue means more things
the npcs can say at different times of day, or can be used in different areas. Like for example 1 character could have 10 dialogue convos, talk to them once by the entrance of the town in the morning, again at the market, at the tavern, at the inn, in an alley, and then maybe its a thing where
he cycles what he says depending on the day. But I also feel like npc dialogue is also just padding out content. Kinda like gacha games calling a new character "New Content". The only decent NPC dialogues I can imagine are things that directly tie in to the main story.
An example could be, we are searching for someone. And asking the townspeople if they saw them and when. Then once we have that information a variable is set in the code, so that person will now appear at that place at that time. That kinda stuff, good NPC dialogue.
The random asspull jokes I did with the Market stall character when I decided to axe the potions system. Bad NPC dialogue. The stuff where you can do a little side quest thing where the guy is getting bullied by his teacher and stand up for him in Ranoa, alright NPC dialogue. Not good but not bad either
because it doesn't hurt the story to have that dialogue there, its just a random side thing that only some people will do, others will ignore it completely and thats fine. Kinda like the vast majority of RPG games NPC characters. I can only talk for myself here, but I skip through dialogue SO FAST.
When I am playing Gacha games, to the point that I am out loud saying SKIP SKIP SKIP I DONT GIVE A SHIT ABOUT YOUR SIDE QUEST SHIT ADD A FUCKING SKIP BUTTON GENSHIN!!!!! Also why I stopped playing Genshin.... Besides the point.... But yea as someone who clearly does not like random NPC dialogue.
My first attempt at it was to mainly make it an out of sight out of mind kind of thing, with a couple of random 4th wall breaking jokes I found funny sprinkled in. With this I would like to expand on it a bit more, which is why since Hagren said he is really good at world building, I want to let him have a go at it.
One of the best ideas I had for making the Inn/Tavern a traversable map is dates. I was thinking it could be cool if for example I ever added a re-date type of thing as a way to see those scenes again, or maybe (and just shooting out ideas here so your feedback is more than welcome.) as an
easier or faster way to increase the lust stat. You could tell X girl to meet you at X location tonight then you would walk into the inn click on a specific chair that would be an image button, a pop up menu for "Wait for X, Yes or No" would show up. If you clicked yes a waitress would walk over,
then you would order drinks, date shows up, have drinks. OR instead of waitress and all that it just redoes the date from that location with the girl you asked to meet you there.
The only possible bug I can see with this would be if you invited more than one girl to the same location on the same night... But I imagine that would be solved by just having a tag added when you asked the girl, then when you click the image button it checks the tag so it knows which scene to play.
Kinda like how the picking a girl to meet you in your room at night works in Ranoa.
I started writing this whole thing after I was already up and working on the game for 10 hours straight and just kept adding to it throughout the day.
I think now I am actually going to lay down and go to bed though. So where am I at? The images are all named and organized for the base. I sorted out the way to code this new progress based House. Or upgrade over time whatever you want to call it. I was worried about how to actually code it, and I sorted that out. I have the Mercenary Room coded, and all imagebuttons made and coded for that, and the Office area is almost done. Though that is still no where near done, as there is still the Kitchen, Bathroom, the 5 bedrooms that will be occupied in this update, and all the hallways. I would have the office done already if it wasn't for the complexity of the upgrade over time system lol. What I am currently dealing with is there are 2 doors, the door to enter from the Mercenary Room and the entire office coming in from that direction is done. But the other door is when you come into the office from the house and the perspective shifts. Instead of just needing 3 imagebuttons for the exit door to go into the Mercenary Room, there are 8 of them, 3 extra because the clickable area changes based on which upgrades you have as one of the upgrades adds a sofa which partially blocks the lower 25% of the door. And the another 2 for when Aisha is at her desk because I slightly moved the camera and didn't notice it. So coding that is a pain its like if its this time of day and you have this tier of upgrade use this one, if its the same time of day but you dont have that tier use a different one.If it's this time of day and aisha is there and you have this upgrade use this other one. If it's this time of day and aisha is there and you do not have this upgrade use this other one. So on and so forth for all 8 of them. Lots of nested if, elif, if and, elif and, and else variables everywhere just for one door. All in all I think there is about? 3 hours? Left of coding to have the base fully completed then I can add it all into the game and test it out. Though I will have to figure out how to jump there, maybe I will just code in the rest of the images before that so it just takes me there naturally. Who knows but my plan is to have a video out on Vimeo for you all tomorrow showing you the empty base. Why empty? 1. Spoilers duh. and 2. Because I haven't created the items and venders yet where you actually purchase the upgrades lol. Though Since I am just using variables this time, I may also just change the variables and make the game think I have all the upgrades and show it empty and completed. Who knows. You will have to wait and watch tomorrow. But I promised some spicy time today so on to that. Side note. Yes it is still today for me, since I have been up and working on this update for the last 50 something hours straight without sleep.

Sorry got off track there, to answer your question more directly in the actual game's storyline and not just the patreon content. Norn content will be in the Millis Continent, The only issue with that is Begaritt has to come before Millis. Only because in my planned story Elinalise is currently in Begaritt and we need her with us for the planned Millis Content. The main storyline for Millis continent is based around Zenith - Her Curse And how to cure it. As far as the patreon exclusive stuff. I mean I could do that whenever if thats what you all want me to do. There are a couple of issues with it though. 1. It takes time away from working on the update. So I would rather release those when I am not working on such a large update as a new continent, and instead do that stuff in the time between the smaller updates. 2. It does get spoilery, I have had some people that have been reading over the storylines realize they intersect a lot and ask why. I told them its because those storylines are taken directly from planned future content as a cool sneak peak thing. - To which I was told that was dumb people don't want spoilers. So I tried to think of other things to do instead and right around that time was when I stopped working on the game for a long time. Hopefully that helps? I tried to answer you in 2 ways. In game and on Patreon and try to give an idea of when each thing could happen.

Just it was "Against Guidelines" When they need to say "This image right here is against this guideline right here. Dont do that again." That way people would know what they can and can not do.
