Excel LADZ - AFL Model 2024
Added 2024-03-07 09:54:15 +0000 UTCG'day lads,
Attached is the Excel LADZ - AFL Model 2024. I'll create an article soon with an explanation of how I made the model π
To factor in individual players into the model, go into the 'SuperCoach Squads' worksheet where you can select the players for each team.
If you have any questions lads, please let me know π

I have Excel 2019 and other spreadsheet seem to work without the formula error.

2024-05-24 03:49:33 +0000 UTCNo worries mate. The NAME error suggests that Excel doesn't recognise a formula. I've built this file using formulas such as XLOOKUP that can only be recognised by Excel 2019 and later. For example, the version Excel 2016 will not recognise this function and return an error. If you don't have the right version of Excel, I'll make a separate copy of the file that'll work with all versions π This can be up and running within the next week π

2024-05-24 01:59:19 +0000 UTCThank-you for the quick response Unfortunately I am seeing #NAME? and #VALUE!, all over the spreadsheet, do I need to adjust something in Excel settings to fix this? Sorry, I am a bit of an old Lad with an interest in sport not so much IT knowledge.

2024-05-24 01:54:53 +0000 UTCHi lad, welcome π₯ To update the data, simply go into the 'Data' tab of Excel and select the "Refresh All" icon. I have the stats in this file connected to the internet via a Power Query. So, once these links are refreshed using the "Refresh All" icon, the new stats will be pulled in. From there, just select the two teams!

2024-05-24 01:34:21 +0000 UTCI am a rookie Lad trying to figure out how to set up the Dockers-Pies game - do I update all pre-game stats manually (copy/paste) or is their an automatic update button I am missing? Please advise what I need to do set a game up correctly, thanks.

π Marvellous π
2024-05-09 14:19:40 +0000 UTCHi lad, this might be a feature added to the model as the season progresses π It would just involve grabbing a player's average disposals, and then adjusting that figure based on the strength of their opponent (and their players) in the match. FYI, I'm currently making changes to the AFL Model above that will be live tomorrow. Collating the data at the very start of a season is tricky in Excel, but it'll all be correct before tomorrow's game lad π
