Warren Nolan - College Football ELO Model
Added 2024-08-26 12:56:12 +0000 UTCG'day lads!
Attached is a simple ELO-Based Model to generate predictions for college football games. Each team's ELO Ratings are imported from the website 'Warren Nolan . com', with a 100 point advantage given to the home team.
From each team's ELO Rating, a Win Probability can be generated. This can be done in the 'Dashboard' worksheet. To update the data, select the "Refresh All" icon in the 'Data' tab. This will refresh the spreadsheet's connection with the internet, and bring in the most up-to-date stats from: https://www.warrennolan.com/fbs/2024/index
All these ratings are devised by the Warren Nolan website lads, this spreadsheet is just an example of using available data to make or find probabilities for markets. A 'Legacy' version of the spreadsheet (for users of older versions of Excel), along with a more in depth explanation of the ELO process and the model's formulas, will be available very shortly π₯
