Crusty Meow
Added 2023-11-19 16:04:50 +0000 UTCCrusty isn’t doing very well. I’m headed back to the vet with him this afternoon. He’s been lethargic, he won’t eat, he’s only gone to the bathroom twice. His eyes are also very sunken and he’s breathing funny. Please pray for him. I’ve had him for over four years and I just love him so much. I’m hoping for good news but his symptoms I’ve seen before. I just think he’s dying. I spoke with the vet just now and he explained the kidney readings which are high enough for concern. I’ve been a wreck for the last three days trying everything to get him to eat and use the bathroom. It’s in God’s hands now. I love you guys.

I am so sorry for you loss but understand you made the right decision. It is extremely difficult, but cats are very stoic and will hide their pain. By the time we notice it, it has gotten to the point where they can no longer hide it. We must listen to them. You are right when you say to be a pet owner is to be selfless. We need to think of quality of life over quantity. You made the humane choice. Honestly, I wish this was an option available to humans. I feel like the availability of humane euthanasia would make us less afraid of death and help us to enjoy life a lot more.

I manually gave her fluids twice a day until she recovered. RN power! The kisses she gave me when she felt better I could tell we're her way of saying thank you. It made all the effort worth it. Hoping for Crusty to recover as well.

Last Christmas Rick’s fans were calling me a dog murderer because Dice lost use of his hind legs and had to be put down. I’m just not in a place for this kind of abuse rn. I’m so upset, I’m beside myself. I’m just hoping for the best.

They get dehydrated, nauseated, and lethargic, and have horrible breath with kidney disease. Sometimes you can pull them out of it with IV fluids, but doing that every few days is stressful on them too. 🙏for Crusty. ♥️
