Hey everyone, Misty here--and, surprise! Version 2 of the "Mandy" demo went up on itch.io this morning! Yes, you read that right, the new proof of concept demo is RIGHT HERE for your enjoyment.
This means that many of the issues we had experienced switching engines are now behind us and we are full speed ahead with the "Aiko" demo. The entire team, myself included, thanks you for sticking with us as we got the game into a state better suited to moving forward.
Needless to say, the biggest news about the version two demo is movement. While we still have work to complete in terms of scripting movement during scenes, actual player-controlled movement around the map is now possible! So make sure to take a look around the Cafe, Gym, and Mandy's Apartment when you get a chance. Besides movement, there are also a handful of other quality of life improvements with the new engine including a more responsive UI design and Scene wipes working (for the most part).
In other build related news, our goal is to have the weekly Patreon exclusive builds starting soon and monthly public release.
Speaking of rewards, if you pledged $100+ towards the game's IndieGoGo campaign last year, Moxy sent out emails to get your NPC ideas--so make sure you reply to those in the near future so we can populate Crestpeak with a few new faces!
