Tiny Mod/Fix - Adopt Teens (In Person) Too!
Added 2023-04-12 16:34:00 +0000 UTCI'm going to give EA the benefit of the doubt here for not thinking of the poor teenage orphans in regards to the new "Adopt" interaction for sims to adopt via the social menu and say this was likely just a mistake.
The adoption continuation hug interaction used for children is also available for teens, with no animation issues stopping it from working. The social interaction to adopt in the first place, however, is only for Infant to Child, leaving these poor teenage orphans without a chance of a family :(
I changed this interaction to include teens, that's all it needed.
There are some weird things about this interaction, however:
- s4s says the tuning is in EP12's folder (HSY) when I'm fairly sure it's a feature EP13. If you have both, this shouldn't be a problem, but if you're missing one of these two packs it might not work right.
- the tuning is just called "adoption," not "si_adoption" not "super_adoption," just "adoption." This isn't really an issue, but its naming might be a little scary because it sounds like it's a big chunk of the adoption system, but it's really just the social interaction.

This isn't a phone interaction but rather an in person interaction that came with Growing Together. Your sim will need to live with the teen sim already and likely the teen will need at least one free parent slot (so either just one or no other parents)

2024-10-26 22:28:52 +0000 UTCDoes this mod conflict with Randyxx's adopt teens mod? If this mod allows to adopt teens in person and via the phone/computer, I don't need the other one. Just trying to work out which to use, since I'm rebuilding my mod collection atm.
