Rain really needs to figure out how to make a panel to monitor his soul purification/damage/etc. I mean the artifact could sense his paling's integrity, etc., so he should probably be watching this given how much of his training has involved damaging his soul in some way or another...

so with Rains new rings, when he becomes silver his aura focus skill will cap at 20 or maybe 23? and if Amelia's rings give that drastic of a boost to her other rings, then couldn't rain have gotten the same thing for his stat ring and just maxamized his distribution sine his tolerance continues to increase, plus it could have fixed his current problem with decreased mana regen since he cant use winter, but the pure mana regen from a boosted clarity stat being fine when it comes to pure essence, also might help with cleaning the chaos essence in the soul space? lastly did anybody see any numbers with how his new automated essence purifier compares with dozer, or how much essence that construct cost to make?

I am still wondering what Rain is going to do with his soul. I think the obvious solution is to rank up and then be careful for a while, because that should "shrink wrap" the damage and let him repair it more easily from the inside, the real question will be whether he can get more soul refinery automation going. At this point I sort of imagine him creating some kind of Factorio soulspace, which is probably his only bet for refining things without spending 200 years as a monk or whatever it was. He should also have good reason to dip into summoning, both because that gives reviveable allies to buff which is a great synergy and because more crystal slimes can do more refining when he returns. But maybe he can make further refinery constructs? Though it seems like it has to be his core (or Dozer's) doing the actual refining, so I dunno. But even if he can't do that, maybe he can make soul paling repair-bots to automate this stuff away, preferably after he hits silver and has a shrink wrap to prevent his constructs from getting sucked out.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate how powerful that armor is? 12k hardness, 154k saturation and 602k durability. Sounds like a lot for Rain, but a bronzeplate Tortugo could turn that into 96k hardness, 616k saturation and 4.8M durability. And at silver with specs in Heavy Armor and Equipment Use it would turn into 187.5k hardness, 962.5k saturation and 9.4M durability. Now Living Armor would turn that into 750k hardness, 3.85M saturation and 37.6M durability. It also combines health and armor durability. Why is Ascension raising inferior defenders again?

I’ve always assumed since they attacked when only her leg was through the barrier (I don’t think it ever said she stepped out fully) that Velika was still counted as being in a rank 11 zone so they could do 99,999 damage per tick per element. Who knows if it actually works that way but otherwise it seems like a massive plot hole

So there's a resistance cap of 7.5k in an unranked zone. But Rain implies that all incoming damage is capped at the damage limit. So how did the watch keepers manage to wound Velikah in their ambush? Someone with her speed an reflexes would have withdrawn into the lair after one damage tick. And since health acts as a buffer, they would have had to get her below half her total health pool. Between equipment, accolades and skills, Velikah should have easily had 250k health. So how did they inflict that much damage in such a short time, when they could only cover six elements iirc? Even if every element counts towards the limit separately, that's still not enough.

Each of the seasonal auras have multiple prerequisites. It's been a while since I read the options where it showed the requirements for each season aura, but I bet at the very most personal level 5 would only maybe be able to do one seasonal aura without any boosting metamagic. I imagine that's why the empire has specialized beacons. Each person can do only one thing for as long as their mana lasts. 🤔

Using detection like that would be crazy. No that he’s building tech in his soul space, I wonder if he can find a way to offload some of the processing power for stuff like that to a “soul computer.” It’d be way, way in the future, but that’s probably how majistral tech works. I feel like he’s already building simplified majistral tech with things like the depth gauge. Is Rain able to listen to detection while he’s in his soul space? Cause if so, he might be able to setup some kind of camera system far in the future, where he can CCTV-esque displays showing his surroundings while meditating.

Once Rain has Prismatic and can repair his paling for handle the strain he can really catch up. Winter should provide more than enough regen to power as many auras as prismatic will let him run. If he can enough Detections to pulse close enough together at sufficient resolution to build a layered view he might also be able to run aura focus in combat, though I could see how processing strain might keep that in theory only state

Empowered Rings apparently boosts the effect of Rings by 10% per Rank. At Rank 10 its +100% or double. The Rings Amelia is wearing apply a base of +1.12 to Empowered Rings itself, which is doubled to +2.24(before rounding). The boost is Recursive, which means that +2.24 is applied back to the initial Rank, bringing it to 12, or +120%. So, 1.12*(1+12/10). Its a feedback loop. Which gets bigger, faster the more Rings she has.

1: 5 of Rains ring slots are taken up by his stat boost ring 2: The known cap for silver skills is 20, it seems somewhat likely the cap for bronzes is 15

Does anyone know where the math is for arcane ward? I don't quite understand how it works. It says it gives ~80% resistance and costs 1mp/dmg but I'm not sure what the order is. Does he have to pay the 80% in mana cost or does it grant the resistance and then he pays the residual?

can some one explain what Amelia's rings do. I think its raising the level of her skills to a maximum cap of 20, but im not really sure if that's the case. rain got one skill increased to 15, I dont see why she could have all of them increased if he couldn't.

So long as the aura doesn't level by amount of extra mana suppressed (which would be odd), he can level it fine by using it on Ameliah and having her either fail to cast, or not attempt to cast anything. His Paling tore again because she overloaded the required mana to activate her skill in order to overwhelm the aura's suppressive effect.

Someone else might have mentioned it before but, couldn't Rain power-level another Aura-user's Seasonal Auras with Suppression? Meaning, someone could quickly max out there Seasonal Auras without the Metas. Which means an Utility Aura Class at Level 5. Theoretically.

So, once he fixes his paling this is going to become a Xuanhuan cultivation novel, right? He'll figure out how to raise the internal pressure on his own by reinforcing his paling or something, with his core plus Dozer being the ultimate chaos refinement factories, at which point his level becomes tied to his "cultivation progress" as he refines the chaos, no longer relying on blues because he doesn't need their help to reinforce his own paling. Which, if I remember right, was implied as a necessary step to reaching gold back in someone else's POV?

Nice that MC found a passive way to purify essence (even if slow) and it has side benefits for sync and tolerance. I don’t really mind the “journey to fix soul” arc thing Rain has going as it reveals inner workings of the world that should have far reaching implications. Though I can sympathize with others who want something more immediate but that is probably more due to being at chapter cap and waiting a week each than being truly dissatisfied. Well hope author keeps up good work.

Since he now has a system to feed his core essence, which helps a lot apparently with Synchronisation, I wonder what will happen once everything is synced, doe it start building up or pushing on his stats, or something else. In addition, once some of the other stats sync, do the not as synced stats synchronise faster since more essence is available for them. That way, Rain could use his stat ring to increase any one of his stats to a high degree and sync it up quickly, not to talk of how broken it would be for him to out the full ring into Clarity, get more essence to dump into it (after his paling is repaired), switch then means he can get even more to push in next champ etc. He’d make even more ridiculous amounts of mana each jump and probably do it faster. Maybe even get the stat past 1k. Then one he’s at that, he could rapidly push sync all his other stats up into the high hundreds, he have way more stats then anyone his level should have. Absolutely broken and OP. Even Mor so if his soul might remember accolades and keep their effects even after delinking, but he might already be broken so its wouldn’t be much of a loss. Also possibly applying this all to other member os Assertion and getting their stats up high if they get their own stat rings.

wow that really was another long one, ty. Also 18 days? We missed all the fish! More importantly didn't they originally say 1 month delve then back to the surface? Should be getting close to that. (if i didn't make it up anyway, i'll look it up.) Really good info on finally knowing that the first tear wasn't fully healed just covered up, electricity in his soul, and plus more tolerance from the liquid essence. Soulworld is finally paying off big time.
