Quick announcement on this Patreon: thinking it over for a while and despite the majority votes in favor of animator breakdown videos without documentation, I’ve decided against the idea. To be truthful, it does not seem worth the effort in producing videos based on guesswork compared to animator breakdowns using information via animator drafts (and sometimes, notes from studio production papers).

On a positive note, I am hoping to receive a cache of animator drafts from MGM cartoons directed by Rudy Ising, via Mike Barrier’s photocopies from 1979. These will arrive as soon as possible.

Lastly, there will be a “breakdown video” accompanying a Donald Duck-related post by JB Kaufman next Monday (10/26) on Cartoon Research. (I'm sure the image above will give you an idea on what cartoon it is...)
