Start of a new series of videos on the road. The second one is already done and honestly is much better with more live footage. Let me know what you think.
Can you use these to power other things? how do know if you have made enough power?

I guess in emergencies, one often doesn't pack safety glasses? I'm only slightly teasing... Plenty of people (white men) have mocked me for mentioning them. But then I wear them anytime I'm using a power tool. Lol thank you for this.

This was the “in case you missed it in Jr. High”introduction. It reminded me that my 9th grade reaction to similar demonstrations was basically Why do I care? Electricity comes from the wall switch and batteries from the store. A good reminder of the basics of conductivity. Keep going.

We know 'Billy Nye the science guy', but 'Beau, Beau the survival bro' has a decent ring to it! :D

Thanks Beau, the W.H.O. shares a method of using PEET bottles to
Purify water. Couple this with the two liter sand then campfire charcoal system and you’re good to go. Thanks again!

I think I see it. `The Roads to Understanding Batteries'? The question mark is because it was uploaded a month ago, but I don't remember it, so maybe it's been waiting there while you were busy with other things?

I'm a big fan about seeing the world through the lens you describe.
The video, however, seems more like nifty science experiments than actionable information. To become really fascinating under the lens of creating useful amounts of DIY energy out of readily available items, I suspect you'd be limited to wind energy (or a bio-gas generator as a more dangerous option)
As for the methods you describe, I'd like to have seen
a. information on the scalability (or lack thereof) of the different methods,
b. the voltage and current produced by each method and its longevity,
c. a schematic diagram for the soda can experiment (I tried to get chatGPT to create one from a screenshot, and while it was able to properly explain the circuit in technical terms it was unable to create a usable diagram - maybe in 6 months...)
Maybe I'm missing the point and your aim is to spark curiosity, which this video succeeds in.

Granarchy here. This is great! It's exactly the kind of thing I want to learn about. The more practical the information, the better. I'm ordering the kit right now so I can practice before The Big Quake levels Seattle.

I like it a lot, and I agree that starting with basics is a great idea. Some of us have done these things before, and others haven't, but it never hurts (and often helps) to review the basics. That's true of dancing as well as "survival" skills (I'm a dance teacher).

Science teacher Beau is going to be a lot of fun! My critiques are regarding the audio and video. The volume was inconsistent and frequently too low so I had to crank up the volume on my end. The video was sometimes too bright and washed out the colors. Aside from that the knowledge was great!

Will be a good series. Telling us to be patient and pay attention because this will be incremental knowledge was important. I don't actually have much interest in this but I like learning stuff from you. Also, growing up poor means that I am partial to macgyvering stuff!

The thumbnail makes it look like you're smoking the battery like a cigar and also lighting your beard on fire. I find this deeply amusing and thank you for the chuckle. The best science teachers know that nothing goes with lab demonstrations better than performance art. Appreciate you.

Yes Beau, something that would absolutely be appreciated for us Boomers with high blood pressure that sometimes have to take ur advice and chill for a few but still want to have another way to support your platform as in, I've missed a lot since the Supreme Court started it's 🤬a couple of weeks ago, so I've been chilling to regain my sanity reading the Pelican Brief, but having some more Beau would be great, I've come a long way from my youth but trying to become a secular humanist but I still have to much hate over come but not giving up till push me off the cliff 🫣 Thank you and your team and of course your loving family ✊👍👏💙

Projects with Beau, love it, I am guessing editors will go in and fine turn the sound. If this is multiple part one, that might be mentioned with the teaser picture, but I get the concept after making a battery.

That was absolutely awesome! I'm very looking forward to the series. These are some neat things that I think are going to be necessary. I hope they're not going to be necessary but they may be. Thank you Beau!! Do you know if your planned trip up route 66 will take you to Oklahoma City? Or at least to Edmond Oklahoma? I would personally love to shake your hand. The first time I ever watched one of your videos, I literally paused it right after you said your intro and looked at bestie and said what is this Trumper are going to say... And man I have never been so glad that I was so wrong 😞 I have learned so much and if so happy I found you! I literally show you to every one of my friends and have used your Thanksgiving advice more than once! Keep it up! You're amazing!

MacGyver. A character on a TV show that always had to apply science to survive.

When you talked about getting everyone on the same page as far as the basics go, I heard Julie Andrewssinging "Let's start at the very beginning, a very good place to start..." from the Sound of Music. And that's a good thing.
