You don't have to be a flaming liberal to acknowledge everyone's intrinsic value and rights. Y'all came perilously close to our own experience - glad you did the handbrake turn when you did.

Hey from South Africa. Like minded people are all over the world - common sense not so common, esp in Alabama it seems!! In sa we have a majority 'liberatio' govt that has systematically looted the country in the last 12 years - still the sheep vote for them - not too unlike your gop.

I love to hear about candidates from other areas that I wish were running in my district/state. Keep sharing their stories.

Phyllis Hatch

I'm retired. Live in Missouri but I will send her a small check. We need people like her. Here in Missouri, our citizens overwhelmingly voted to expand medicaid for about 230,000 people but the Republican dominated legisture just eliminated that line item from the budget.

Marian A Miller

Erica called last week. She was on TYT conversations in May. I think she's the real deal. Planning next donation....I never lived her state but I'm feeling that *let's help fellow southern voter suppression states vibe*.

Barbara Walker

That was a great interview. Very encouraging to hear a candidate that has integrity. There seem to be a bunch of senators and governors that work for their corporate donors and leave the American public in the cold. Oh, that really happened.

Van A Dulles

As a native North Carolinian, it makes me smile to see people like this lady who are willing to set aside their own lives to run for office and try to make a difference in the lives of people in their state. Well done!

The USA Senate is an anachronism - time to privatize it. . Perhaps the Senate should be privatized and voting shares sold on the open market. Share ownership would be public. Various shareholders and proxy-holders could then vote their shares and we would know who really owns the Senate. . By design, the Senate provides a mechanism for reactionaries to veto progressive legislation. It's current make-up gives rural states a chance to counter urban states. This allows regional minorities more time to adapt to change. . The Roman Senate represented landowners who, to be fair, provided most of the government's funding. The British "House of Lords" provided a similar function when the tax base was mostly agri-business. Perhaps a privatized US Senate could provide a similar forum for billionaire equity lords and corporations.

It's so wonderful to see and hear from folks like this.

David Allee

If she's elected, I won't object. Personally, I loath 'rights' candidates. They're virtually incompetent at foreign affairs, technology development, military interventions, and on. The only way the USA 'gets right' is by reinstatement of the Fairness Doctrine in media and blistering campaign finance reform (including austere lobbying restrictions)

She’s great! Hope she wins.

Laura

She is really impressive!!!
