Hi All,
I've uploaded 24 items to the archive so far this May, including selections from one of my favorite retail design books of all time, Schaufenster/Shop Fronts/Devantures. In total, there's now about ~530 books & magazine issues currently in the archive! If you have any issues accessing the archive, which is on Google Drive, please let me know and I'll be able to help!
Highlights:
Narita Inspected (2001) - An incredible & varied collection of turn-of-the-millennium Japanese graphic design, including character design, photography, typography, etc.
Entertainment Dining (1999) - An exhaustive overview of extravagant and themed restaurant design in the 1990s; including favorites like the sci-fi Mars 2112, the Org-Nouveau Red Sea Star, and the fascinatingly bizarre 'Props' restaurant, which was inspired by the TV show Friends.
Schaufenster/Shop Fronts/Devantures (1974) - This book is full of futuristic 1970s facade and retail design, fascinating to see how it clearly inspired later Y2K-era architecture & interiors. Also contains some wonderful typography in the signage designs.
Computer Graphics: The Best of Computer Art & Design (1992) - The first in this three-part series (the second and third editions are also available on the archive) showcasing computer-based graphic design in the early 1990s. Full of wild & wacky 'Early Cyber'-style works: stretched & skewed typography, harsh acid-toned pixelated textures, and playful 3D 'Silicon Dreams' constructions.
Decorating for Christmas: 136 Ideas to Make the Holidays Special (1992) - It's a very 90's maximalist Christmas in this how-to decorating and craft book. I've really enjoyed diving into the DIY/craft book side of the 80s-90s; will be uploading plenty in the months to come!
Thank you again for your support!
