Big update on EnChroma
Added 2024-08-07 16:06:18 +0000 UTCThe New Zealand Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has accepted my complaint regarding several EnChroma marketing claims. They have forwarded my complaint to EnChroma, who now have to (likely for the first time) substantiate their claims with evidence.
The ASA will review EnChroma's response along with any evidence submitted and will determine whether or not they breached New Zealand's advertising code. If so, they will be required to remove or alter the claims in question (only on EnChroma.com.au). While this won't result in any fines or other punitive measures from the ASA, the media and public will be notified of their decision.
This is a huge first step in the right direction. I just hope a fair judgement is made! We should hopefully have a final decision from the ASA in roughly 2-3 weeks time. Stay tuned!
