I'm with Siobhan, that the aliens did give me a classic who vibe. As for Groff returning, I think they left it open ended on purpose. I'm sure Jonathan Groff is a pretty busy (and no doubt expensive) actor, but I like that we have hope. I low-key want a full Rogue spin-off prequel with Rogue and his original companion that he referenced in this episode. The way he pushed Ruby out threw me at first. I was wondering why he didn't just use Alien Emily to push Ruby out but then realized it's because it was set to hold 6 maximum. By stepping into it there were 1 too many people so it allowed for one person to be displaced. Definitely one of the strongest episodes for me. I can't quite put my top 3 in order, but it's up there.

I'm glad you enjoyed this episode, I absolutely love it. It's my favourite of the season by far. Ncuti and Jonathan have the most fantastic chemistry. I love the way it almost seemed like The Doctor was Rogue's companion, Rogue asked The Doctor to travel with him and Rogue took The Doctor's hand and Rogue made the big sacrifice to save The Doctor's heart from breaking. I loved everything about them together and this being The Doctor's first properly romantic same sex kiss is SO special as well. It got a lot of complaints unfortunately but those people are proof of why it was important. Doctor Who has always pushed boundaries and I'm proud that it continues to do so. As for the aliens, they did look very silly yeah. Personally I liked that, it reminded me of some Classic Who creatures. But I understand that the more silly aliens aren't for everyone. And I really loved the Doctor and Ruby moments in this episode, there weren't many but I didn't feel we were lacking some like I have in other episodes this season. It felt well balanced in this one and the way Ruby knew The Doctor was covering up his pain about Rogue being gone was a great moment. So yeah, I overall I fully love this episode and Ncuti felt most like The Doctor to me in this one. 9/10 for me. 😊
