I really have mixed feelings about this episode. Watching it with you is my 4th time watching it now and I do have some issues with it. I agree that they should've just had the space babies talking telepathically because the CGI on their mouths wasn't good. It makes no sense that The Doctor and the babies were SO terrified of the bogeyman but then tried everything to save it and were happy when it was saved, like isn't it still on that scary wavelength that The Doctor talked about? And it's not even a living creature really, it's made by a machine out of bogies. Like I just don't understand why they suddenly cared so much, The Doctor literally risked his life to save it. Baffling. And, as you said, where would it live on that planet? Surely the residents of the planet would run away screaming from it. And I didn't mind the fart joke, that was subtle enough to be funny for me, but again you're right when you say how would it slow down? And how would it steer? Surely it would either crash into the planet or float off into outer space. And I really HATED The Doctor deliberately scaring the babies and laughing, twice. That didn't feel like something The Doctor would do and it really bothers me. But there were good things in this episode too. Ncuti's energy is fantastic, I don't like it when he shouts his words sometimes, but apart from that his acting is great and he definitely feels like The Doctor. I'm not totally sold on Ruby yet but I do like the BFFs dynamic that her and The Doctor seem to have already. That scene in the hallway where the woman in the cloak in The Doctor's vision turned and pointed at him was chilling and then the snow falling was really interesting. I am super curious about the Ruby mystery. I also loved the throwbacks to 9 and Rose in the episode The End Of The World. Ruby's first reaction to the planet and The Doctor upgrading her phone and The Doctor telling her about how he's the last of the Timelords all really made me smile. I wouldn't want Russell to completely copy his old work and he definitely hasn't done that, but the little throwbacks are awesome. And I absolutely loved the moment of The Doctor talking to baby Poppy and telling her that everyone's unique and special, that was beautiful. So yeah, a mixed bag in my opinion. And it's interesting how you've missed something that's appeared in every episode since the 60th, I'm curious to see how long it takes you to figure it out lol. Excited for the next episode reaction. 😊

I wasn't a fan of this at first, but the more I watch it, the more I appreciate it. I do think the farting butt shaped space station at the end was deliberate from RTD, because of the backlash he got from the farting slitheen! It took me a while to figure out why the Doctor was ok to kill the Goblin King, but save the Bogeyman. I'm thinking it's because the Goblin King was out to kill babies and disrupt time. If he didn't kill the Goblin King, then Ruby would die. With the Bogeyman, he's been created to be scary. He doesn't kill, he doesn't even try to be scary, he just is scary! I think the Doctor felt bad for him, and knew that everyone would be safe if he survived.
