BOHOF Favorites

Well the cat is well and truely out of the bloody bag. Have ya seen the show? Did ya like the show? We would love to know! If you HAD to pick tell us what's your favorite episode and what is your favorite sketch from Big Ol House of Fun!

Comments

I absolutely cannot wait for another season

Watched the show in it’s entirety three times (so far) and Cowdoi always outshines. Morning brown is definitely the best songs, and I get it stuck in my head every morning.

Too many to mention, but my most memorable bits seem to be the songs... Ep 1 started off strong, opening with Everything's a Drum was a great move. Broden's 'morning brown' dance and not wanting his organs in Steve, the 'that's so relatable' song with Mark's little dance and smile at the start really gets me. Also loved the fake Family Feud with Janiel and Danuary, and all the little background things like Kosky's beer, and the thin drinks poster in the background of another sketch... Like I said. Too many. Is good show.

After Zach becomes a god and the only response is "boring"

Jick

"One day I'm going to fuck that moogie" Classic Mark

My favourite scene is when Broden only laughs if Zach and Mark are dancing for him, and cries otherwise. Would love to see this concept stretched out to an hour long live show, with an accompanying 10 part web series.

Seb Krasnicki

The series was incredible. Every episode had an iconic moment. My overall favorites sketches were either 1907 Basketball or the Fashion Montage. Well fucking done! I need season 2!

this show somehow exceeded my expectations, tiny little man is a huge stand out and I dont know why

Sam Kelly

The exact moment in the SWAT sketch where it goes into a major key for the first time and you guys start dancing is maybe one of my favourite moments in all of comedy.

Ned Sanders

It was great to see a bit from my favorite TV special make the show!

Gavin

My favourite part is when Mark sings "I prayed to Jesus then I fucked him too" I laughed and laughed and laughed and then watched it again and again.

I can't like this post because it's at 69 likes.

Morning Brown, the SWAT Boys , old-timey basketball, and the guys who definitely don't want to fight all had me literally in tears. And it was so lovely to see old sketches adapted as well! EDITED BECAUSE I FORGOT THE PISS DRINKING SKETCH, HOW COULD I!!!

beastleigh

Egg Helms got me good but I'd have to say that the clothes skit was my fave

Everything is great. But if I HAD to pick, ep 2 had me gutturally laughing all the way through. In particular, the Egg Helms bit nearly killed me. Spare me some breath next time boys.

Ben Trotter

Omg so great

TOP 10 in aus!!!!! No. 8 to be precise

1907 basketball I've not laughed like that for ages

Steven Bunn

1907 basketball is the greatest thing I’ve ever seen. Blair Buoyant a very close second.

It's just so good. Congratulations.

Lifon Henderson

Thin drinks

Oh saw the theatre troupe bit mentioned above, as a theatre student I love when y'all do in-jokes. Killed me

Eros

Clothes and Cheeky Midnight Snack were standouts to me. So much to love tho. Wish Tiny Drinks was longer! Was amazing seeing podcast characters, and the translations of previous work were fun to watch as a long-term fan yet fresh and exciting :)

Eros

Couldn’t help but watch them all back to back. Mark fucking mark broke me.

That goofy grin on his face as he steps off camera killed me!

Cory Gilbertson

The clothes bit by mark was just perfect and completely unexpected just so funny

Jack Burt

I loved it. A really great moment for me was when Borden looked at the camera before going off to play the ‘lmpyics piss tester (a character I loved piss drinking aside). It expressed to me a certain tone and attitude of the show I really liked. I also loved the voice over for the prizes jerry seinfield offered, and the man who shat himself sketch, and the return/integration of many great characters from your previous works (lost my shit when the sams showed up, but loved that cowdoy became the new roommate most of all, moogie was excellent too), Mark’s use of the stupid old Italian man/mum was legendary, I loved zach’s jam/English lady meta character, the trying to find a car park bit, the constant variety of guests, the remixing of old sketches (like the midnight snack where it was both bits of a cheeky tea break and bits of the bear camping one), the watching tv song, mark trying to pretend all his problems were bad dreams, the comedians in cars getting coffee bit, the poster bit, the texting betrayal bit, Blair buoyant’s dance, the living room sign in/theatre group bit, the hair cut bit, spam bot, the computer netting, the broden giving drinks bit, the intro animation and the credits songs.

Jonah Morris

Really outstanding work, though, boys. You did a really amazing job at blending your old material with new and updating old sketches and it really made me happy to see so many of your riffs from the podcast take on new life. Thank you so much for making this!

saoirse

I was really happy to see the South African Sams make an appearance although I would like express my frustration that there was nary a mention of "The Power of One." Mark, I don't know if you have read "The Power of One" but South Africa is not a walk in the park, Mark.

saoirse

I liked how you got caught with the giant jar of tranquilizers right before passing out, had me in stiches

My biggest laugh was probably from the Stupid Old Italian Man sketch, but I really loved how many small jokes there are the whole time, the dishwasher's sign and stuff like that. Every detail is full of so much great humour. Watched them all in one go so it's hard to pick one favourite episode though!

Sim Jyphilis

Actually I’m gonna say the old times basketball one too it had the biggest Monty python vibes I’ve ever seen outside actual python

A

I’m trying to space it out to fill myself with joy on multiple occasions so we watched 2 on Wednesday and 2 today and god dammit if we aren’t gonna watch two tomorrow I think it’s your best work yet boys in all seriousness well done I’m very proud and impressed, like all of us here feel like we had a little to do with it even though of course I probably started my Patreon after you signed the deal but still you know boys good on youse

A

Ed Helms' identity crisis and the fact that he's credited as Egg Helms in every episode that follows.

It was wonderful... Watched all six in one go... I could really feel the ohmage to some classic stuff and the new stuff was really great... Best bit... Probably the revamp of the doctor, because with Michelle as the straight you all can go incredibly crazy... Either that or Zach continually trying to get jimjamgram to work, the payoff with the bar was nice

James Thatcher

I destroyed 5 episodes in one sitting. Forced myself to save the final for today. Love it! So proud of the Aunty Donna boys. Broden's discomfort with the President joining the ball game really tickled me!!

RavenholmTourist

I loved the new spins on existing content, the new stuff, and seeing podcast characters, it was all done so fucken well. So polished. Loved when the sketch transitioned to the boys on the couch, just flowed so nicely. This show must be such a treat for new comers. I'm such a sucker for deadpan Broden, "enough, now, Brother Mark".

Fucken incredible boys, I’m blown out of the water. Hollywood sparkle but same old boys <3, loved it

It’s so hard to pick but the one that most caught me of guard and had me in absolute stitches as a result was the “Basket and Ball (off to war)” sketch. Fucking gold

Oisín O'Sullivan

Boys where do I even start?! It’s all pure AD magic buuuut if I must pick some faves so far it’s Midnight Snack, Morning Brown, SWAT Boys, Tiny Little Man, Mark calling his Mum and when Zach finally said cunt. I was so happy to hear it. Got worried that it wouldn’t happen when it didn’t come up during Blair Buoyant. Opening credits are so so good too! So thrilled for you guys!!!

My favourite aspect of the show was whenever multiple of the same Anty Doona Worm appeared on the screen simultaneously. The Family Feud sketch for example.

I loved Mark worrying about how his old Italian man sketch was gonna go and chatting to his mum

All the sketches are utterly hilarious - weirdly I laughed the hardest when Broden said ‘Broden News News’

Seeing South African Sams on screen was a total surprise but also a real blast!

Obviously all the other comments are 100% correct. Some of my other favorite (small) bits: - Cameos from your friends, so happy to see Michelle Brasier and Ben Russell in it. And also the unexpected cameos from Weird Al (that looked like a great day on set), Jessica Knappett, Kristen Schaal, etc. - The Egg Helm joke was very "last 20 minutes of a fucked podcast", and I loved it so much. - That unnecessarily accurate Abraham Lincoln made me laugh very hard. - How crazy is it that Broden saying "moogie" in the "banking them" era lead to a fucking insane character singing about Moogie Woogie Cancer on Netflix.

Harry

I love the little jokes like Zach indicating himself when he says Zach in ep 1, the off censor beep and creaky door got me every time I watched the trailer and then even more in the show.

Joe Hamlen

The censor beep gag gets me every time

The whole show is brilliant, watched it twice back to back. Clothes is easily the best one, but seeing Sams cracked me up harder than anything else. Also really liked kaufmany ending with whole show being a sketch with sketches inside with sketches inside and so on. This whole continuity thing really suits you boys. And there couldn't be a better finale than a partying Queen of Angland. ❤️❤️❤️

Sam and Sam “flying back to Perth” was a one liner that really tickled me The entire bar sketch/sequence was probably my all time favourite of the series, fkn loved it

Ep 4 was my favourite but “stray boy” and “the clothes sketch” we gold!!

Eli

The whole thing was back to back wall to wall amazing awesomeness that I'll watch again tonight! Favourite ep was the massively cooked Episode 4, pure Aunty Donna goodness. My fav sketch was the "a hot dog can be anything", my wife's fav sketch was easily "morning brown".

Tristan Backshall

I really, really loved the show! I'll probably rewatch it a lot, I feel like I didn't catch half of the jokes because I was laughing too much. Some of my favourite sketches were the clothes one, the tiny man one and the school nurse sequel, but lots of other stuff was just as great

Easily the most cooked episode.

Aunty Donna

I still laugh at the Pirate coming out and clapping at the end. Zach also improvised the ending that we ended up using with him thanking everyone except Ed. It's such a great moment.

Aunty Donna

Well that's a bloody sweet thing to say now isn't it!

Aunty Donna

I adore that double offering of the drinks. A very Sam Lingham punchline

Aunty Donna

We were only going to film that sketch if Michelle could come to LA and do it. Thank goodness she could because we didn't really have a backup hahaha

Aunty Donna

This is so great to hear. We hope to bring more podcast characters to life in the future

Aunty Donna

Thank you! This sketch definitely has some of the best editing we've ever done imho

Aunty Donna

The first full sketch we saw roughly edited together was Family Fued and it was while we were still shooting the show. After seeing it I remember thinking "this show is gonna be great". Remains one of my favorite sketches in the series. I love the energy of it.

Aunty Donna

Episode 4 was absolutely dynamite

We were originally planning to put Moogie in as a secret post credits sketch, but Netflix really liked it and said "put it in the episode" which was one of the best notes we have ever gotten tbh

Aunty Donna

It's actually in the show so much. Fun fact: Joe also sings the Fashion Montage song!

Aunty Donna

Thank you this is truely the greatest compliment!

Aunty Donna

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE EPISODE KYLIE?!?!?!

Aunty Donna

On set we kept laughing so much at the fact cowdoy was in the show, and how much he was in the show. In the edit, episode one originally ended with Zach saying "we should up his rent" but our producers (and we) loved all of Brodens improv so much they said try ending it on something more "fucked"

Aunty Donna

There is NOTHING I love more than a line of dialogue yelled from off screen

Aunty Donna

Loved it!! All the episodes are great, but I do have a weak spot for Sam & Sam so probably episode 2.

Kane Clarke

Fun little fact: the barber shop, and the bar when Zach gets thrown up on, also in episode 4, are actually the same shop. It's this really trendy place in LA where to enter the bar you have to walk through the barber shop - weird and trendy and perfect for the logistics of our shoot. A very drunk man started flirting with me on the street while I was trying to get back to my trailer after shooting.

Aunty Donna

It was hard to convince mum but thankfully she eventually relented

Aunty Donna

Amazing! So happy the timing worked out lol

Aunty Donna

Lord Whoopee was another one we did a test shoot for as we weren't sure how it would translate but we were stoked with the test footage. Thanks for the kind words!!

Aunty Donna

This is the goonies dude

Aunty Donna

This actually marks the first time we have ever taken something from the podcast and used it for another medium. We once tried to do a live sketch with Frogman once but it didn't quite work in test shows. The fact that they've worked so well here has given us much greater confidence to do more of this kinda thing in the future

Aunty Donna

We did that a few times live on our Glennridge Graduation Party Tour before putting it into the show - so while it's a brand new sketch it may be familiar to some

Aunty Donna

Me and my best mate watched it together over dicord and we laugh cried the whole 2 hours. Can not narrow it down to one sketch. It was all so fucking good. ❤❤❤💪

Criss Warden

Also the School nurse sequel was incredible

Hayden Bradshaw

The whole series is wall-to-wall brilliance so for the sake of a couple of specific deep cuts - Broden bribing Scottish Liquor Licence Inspector Ben Russell with a coupl' o' Koskys, and "You guys are tearing this ska band apart!"

SWAT SWAT SWAT SWAT

Brennan Keller

Moogie Woogie Boogie had that great improv/podcast vibe with solid punchline. Also like the lines "if you think about it, a hotdog can become anything" as non sequitur and Ben Russell saying "I guess this is capitalism," which was somehow the funniest thing I've heard all year

Seeing the South African Sams in the flesh was a very special moment, deep, deep within my soul

Hayden Bradshaw

Family Feud sketch was great, died laughing at the shotgun line. Also hyped when the South African Sams made an appearance too.

My fav sketch was the clothes adaption of 'cresps'. I can't describe that comedy and why it is funny, I've never seen the style before I think is very original.

Cowdoy interjecting into random skits is by far the best part.

Kosky's Beer was hilar

I'm pacing myself, I managed to stop after two episodes..........but I don't know how long that will last. So far Treasure is my favorite.

Absolutely loved it!!!! When your show was first announced i must admit i was worried it would be ‘hollywoodised’ so i was over the moon to see it’s still our boys and your humour!

Probably Morning Brown.

Kylie Jones

Show was fantastic! Favourite sketch had to be the South African Sams appearing outside the pod. Close second goes to early 1900s basketball, but what I really need after this is more Cowdoy.

Mark yelling "I fucken love you cowdoy" slayed me.

Ashley McVeigh

So this is a very real story. When we did the read through for the first time at the netflix offices, every cum joke got huge laughs from the executives. That's when we knew we were in right hands.

Aunty Donna

We can talk about it sure but it's very upsetting!

Aunty Donna

The trendy barbershop was up there for me, loved the choreography and Zach and Mark were very cool, alternative barbers.

goodneighbor

It's not has hard as it looks pun intended

Aunty Donna

I found that hilarious as well, I was worried in the sketch leading up to that that new viewers wouldn't know about Mark being Italian and would find it super racist, so when the sketch turned to acknowledging that it took me by surprise

The clothes sketch in dating and the Italian mum, it's great that Mark has now gotten both parents in sketches

Once we found out it was green lit, that audience reveal joke was the first idea I ever wrote down to put into the show. I'm so fuckin happy it made it all the way through. Love Mark xo

Aunty Donna

Thanks mate! YouTube has very much been the testing ground for this kind of thing, and we've very much found a way to translate even some of our trickier stuff to film (ie Ellen, Home run)

Aunty Donna

Again huge props to Netflix for this. Putting in an obscure character from a smaller sketch off our YouTube channel and kinda building a narrative around him almost definitely would have been questioned by any other network in the world.

Aunty Donna

Seeing podcast characters and previous live sketches coming to fruition is so cool. Loving the show so far.

Great to see The Ellen sketch in such high quality!

Big Tim

Stray Man I think is the oldest sketch in the show, next to Ellen. We originally wrote that for our 2015 self titled show, with Broden playing the stray Man, but thought it would be weird / confusing for a first time audience if in the first episode one of us played a character that wasn't heightened. So we fuckin cast Homelander lol

Aunty Donna

Too many gems to have a favourite, although the sketch where Mark has sex with himself was in all forms a masterpiece. Well done.

cat

Mark calling his Mum about being an Italian stereotype killed me for some reason

Have watched it twice through already :) love that it was released while I'm on annual leave lol... I have unlimited time to watch my favourite comedy boys over and over again! Kristen Schaal, Weird Al and Egg Helms are all great! Seeing podcast characters come to life was amazing... I screamed when Mark opened the door and the South African Sams were there! So good! Dating is probably my fave episode; the Hunk and the Dork set in an actual school with props was the best! But 'Lympics with Michelle as the sports doctor was a brilliant call back - more crazy characters for Michelle to deal with. The bits that kill me the most are Broden's little random comments - like "I don't give a fuck" when Zach is still low-res, or when he needs to fill out a form and goes "A FORM! Fuck that off". Broden's voices and mannerisms are my jam. Overall, I love it and I love you!!

Laura Fraser

Everything's a Drum was such an amazing first impression and spin on a classic that I can't stop thinking about it. My wife loved Lord Whoopee, he made her cry laughing.

I love love love that run of WiFi / Posters / Thought Bubble. When that came together in the edit we really felt like we were onto something and the show was gonna be a bit special

Aunty Donna

Agreed!

Aunty Donna

I liked the bit where Mama Fratelli is going to kill Sean Aston or Cory Feldman or the gadgets kid and then Sloth saves the day and says "Hey you guys!!!". In a nod to his enduring friendship with Chunk because it was better than his life of abuse.

Literallymeatballs

Morning Brown I think is probably the strongest sketch in the show. Little secret but we will be having some merch directly related to that sketch coming out in early 2021

Aunty Donna

Loved the show! Especially seeing podcast characters come to life. Loved finally seeing what a Moogie looks like. And the Ellen sketch and mark fucking himself was amazing. Well done boys 💕

Casey Glennon

We collectively adore that sketch. Great pick.

Aunty Donna

Loved the Morning Brown song boys great show 😍

The choreographer for that sketch, Kathryn Burns, is an emmy winner and did all of Crazy Ez Girlfriend. She drives a Tesla and took me for a joy ride it was fuckin sick.

Aunty Donna

Honestly just you guys being able to be you guys. Has concerns you would have been held back by the producers/Netflix and within the first minute mark is talking about cum and all is right with the world.

Matthew Lowe

anything cowdoy

OH and old timey basketball, I saw that one live and loved it, so thrilled to see a filmed version of it!

Amy Fox

Seeing poddy characters come to life was very special

I think the hardest I laughed was the "reveal" that the show had a studio audience the entire season. I know it was just a meta joke but holy shit.

Bolexle

Can we just talk about Marks phenomenonal one man show of a baseball player, get dogged out of a home run and going home to make passionate love to his wife. Truly stunning. Also the hand touch skit in episode 6 had me dying.

I wish I could make love to myself the way Mark makes loves to himself.

CK

I was really surprised how well a lot of your live show sketches translated to the show. It was really fun seeing all these ideas fleshed out with full props and sets, bloody great stuff!

Andrei Agnew

Every moment that involved cowdoi was instant cums

The Stray Man or the list of potential housemates, couldn’t stop laughing!

Loved it. It brings such warmth to my heart to know that the classic character of Moogie will finally become a household name. And what makes your podcast so great is how barely committed to the improv you are, and it turns out that bailing out of the bit is also a great way to transition sketches!

Trevor Harty

I've only watched two episodes cause I'm trying to make it last, but the Mark posters followed by Poster Season is a perfect sketch

Geordie McGrath

Mornin’ Brown for sure!

One of the notes we received from our producers during the edit was "push this sketch further / go more weird". So we did. We fuckin love our LA producers.

Aunty Donna

Wouldn't know how to pick a fave episode but my fave sketch was definitely clothes, the editing and weird framing killed me!

Amy Fox

The song about how each of you fuck

Saw them do this sketch live at the Glennridge Graduation Party and it killed me too, but with AFL... still bloody hilarious with basketball!

Laura Fraser

Piss drinker is an instant classic. I'm torn between that or SWAT SWAT. Edit: Piss-drinking ADA agent should read the Power of One

Jude Alnas

Fun fact: we shot a very basic trial version of that sketch in one of our LA homes cause we weren't sure how it would translate to film - we might still have it lying around somewhere

Aunty Donna

I’m a simple man, show me Broden trying to drink piss and I’ll give it an instant 10/10

Cormac

I really loved the S.W.A.T boys song from Night-Time!

Joash

I would expect nothing less from you Nashy

Aunty Donna

Was about to say! Can these be put up on spotify?

I'm studying to be a history teacher, so the old timey basketball game sketch absolutely killed me.

I personally enjoyed watching Mark make sweet, graphic love to himself.

It's all phenomenal, but my fav episode is night-time, fav sketch: Midnight Snack

Nash Lawrence

I loved Tom's bangers during the credits that changed from ep to ep

Eric Johnson

Clothes!
