"You know, you remind me of a poem I can't remember, and a song that may never have existed, and a place I'm not sure I've ever been to..." - Abe Simpson
Marge plays matchmaker and forges a love connection between her mother and Abe Simpson, despite Homer's protests that this pairing will make their children retroactively inbred. But their cozy senior romance takes a turn for the worse when Mr. Burns enters the picture and sweeps Jackie off her feet with his incredible dancing and kissing skills. Listen in, for each Talking Simpsons could be your last!
Our guest: Toby Jones, writer and director of AJ Goes to the Dog Park
As bad of a parent as Abe is, his bad parenting, like Homer's bad parenting is cartoonishly bad (Homer's half assed under parenting being more fun than his half assed over parenting). However, little is mentioned about what an awful parent Marge's mom is and her failure is nowhere as fun. We've seen ittle bits of how awful and self centered she's been. Case in point, when she tells a young sad Marge that she should smile because it would show everyone how wonderful her mommy is. This episode she is watching her fiance literally assaulting her grandchild at her wedding and she couldn't care less. With her as a role model it's shocking that Marge found a loving relationship. (Homer's many many flaws aside). She's much closer to Cotton in the toxic parenting department and a little too realistic.

We had Chicken Tongiht in Aus for a while there, but it was pretty widely mocked so I don't know how successful it was. On The Late Show (a sketch show we had) they had this wonderful parody, which just meant it was Dickhead Tonight to a lot of people from then on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fl3GC6bxmWE

Bob made my day when he said Fargo “is more of a Brainerd movie.” I grew up near Brainerd and now reside in Fargo, so I make that same point more often than I probably should.

My grail cel is a Mr. DNA from Jurassic Park and occasionally one will come up on eBay, but I’m like Bob - we would rather spend that money on experiences and even if I did buy it, I have no wall space to properly display a priceless (to me) work of art.
I also would love some more Regular Show art (again, if I could display it somewhere) as I have a sweet Pops that Mike Roth drew for me and I was hoping Toby would know where to get some more, but looks like I’m out of luck there as well!

Regarding your lament over short episode orders: THE CHILDREN YEARN FOR TOKUSATSU.
Weekly episodes and 48-52 episode seasons! Episodes where the immediate plot is wrapped up each week, while maintaining an overarching story! Enough episodes where you can have silly one off episodes, and episodes that flesh out the characters without having to devote everything to a larger story! Watch Kamen Rider and Super Sentai, dangit! It's easier than ever with multiple seasons streaming in English and the current Kamen Rider series, Zeztz, being broadcast on youtube mere HOURS after it's debut in Japan!

Just say it: Al Jean didn't want Bill and Josh back to get that check for the movie. We all know he hates their "wrap-up" season and character storylines, that's why he undid them as soon as he could.
