Talk To The Audience?!? - October 2025

We've reached the end of the month, which means it's time for another episode of our community podcast! With this episode, we welcome you to the beginning of constant, round-the-clock coverage of The Simpsons Movie sequel; it's coming, and you're going to be hearing about it for the next 20 months. After dishing dirt on Hollyweird, we discuss the beginning of broadcast season 37—including the latest Treehouse of Horror—and the all-but-confirmed rumors of Simpsons characters appearing in Fortnite. And, as always, we read and respond to your comments and questions from the last round of episodes. It's all happening on Talk to the Audience: the entertainment property that doesn't make you wait two decades between installments!

I would also like to know their thoughts on indie cartoons on YouTube :3

I'm not sure if this would have been on your guys's radar but a clown historian on YouTube did an interesting video about Rusty Nails Their name is bouncy clown and they read his autobiography and there was some interesting information in there, including something that I didn't remember hearing, which was that A.C.T. got Rusty's show pulled from the air in the '70s. I thought that was especially weird because it seemed to mirror the events of itchy and scratchy and Marge. I had always thought that that episode was specifically an allegory about the controversy surrounding the simpsons. I can't remember if it was widely known that the real Rusty Nails had a similar run in with a activist group like Krusty does in the episode

I’m still super interested in hearing if Bob and/or Henry have a hot take on Dana Terrace’s Knights of Guinevere. I thought the end product was fun, but it’s especially interesting with the production backstory regarding Disney.

Two years ago I saw The Muppet’s Christmas Carol here in Portland with The Oregon Symphony. I highly recommend it!

We watched that premiere episode in utter disgust. The period pieces doing the re-aging of the characters needs to sincerely stop. It was utterly nadir territory to show Marge as a '90s kid when the SHOW ITSELF had its heyday in the '90s. There was a fairly recent episode that showed a flashback to "Marge and Homer's wedding day" that didn't stamp a date on it, just showed Marge and Homer in something similar to the "young" models they used in S2-5, and it worked just perfectly. They need to quit being lazy with the re-aging shit and move on to different types of stories if they're going to keep going another forty years. Agreed fully on Luigi's Mansion 2 HD. Is Nintendo going to actually release a purely NEW game with this new system? It's a serious question. Everything seems to be a remake/rehash/rebrand, and while I really liked (not loved) DK Bananza, I feel my $500 was just spent on a slightly newer iphone with the same shit the old one had, just running a little faster.
