Magical Spider chapter 58

"Honestly, this was not how I was planning for this day to go," Harry whispered to himself as he crawled through the air vents of the helicarrier. He placed his hand to his ear and spoke into his comms unit. "Pete, you there?" He spoke quietly.
"I'm here," Peter replied in a worried voice. "Are you okay? Did something go wrong?"
"More than a little, I think I just lost my spider powers," Harry answered, he was beginning to suspect that Fury hadn't been lying. His body felt much, much weaker previously, in the past he would barely register his own body weight if he had been balancing on one finger, but now he could feel it as he crawled on all fours.
"What?!" The voices of Gwen, Peter and Felicia replied at once with equal amounts of shock.
"We'll discuss it later, right now I need to get out of here. Activate my heads-up display," Harry replied.
"On it," Peter responded. "HUD is up."
"Get me a map of this place, I'm in the vents, I won't be able to stay here long. I need the quickest way to get outside. Actually...did the plan work?" Harry couldn't help but ask as the HUD came up, complete with the map that he requested.
"Yep, we're in," Gwen answered. "But you've got to get out of there,"
"I will, but I got to collect the spiders first. Add in the locations of all agents so I know where to avoid them. We'll talk soon, hopefully," He said before following the map and making his way through the vents. He made his way to the end of a vent that led to what looked like a basement. One low-powered magical blast and the vent was unhinged enough for him to pull it off. Reaching out with one hand, he tried to stick to the wall but found that he no longer could. He let out a sigh, realising that perhaps Fury actually had taken away his spider powers. However, they wouldn't stay away for long if Harry had his way.
"I hope this works," Harry let out a sigh before shooting a web to the side of the wall, he climbed out of the vent and slowly descended down, hating how heavy he suddenly felt. As he dropped down, he turned and saw a collection of Shield uniforms.

"Listen up," The team all froze as Nick Fury's voice cut in through their earpieces. "Spiderman is trying to escape this facility. I want him captured immediately!"
"But...but didn't you say he was the strongest one here?!" Katie blurted out as they all processed what they had just been told.
"He was!" Fury replied. "He's been depowered, find him and get him now!" Fury ordered before cutting the call.
"So what? We have to fight Spiderman now?" Evans asked.
"Great, I'm looking forward to it," Jimmy grinned.
"Hold on, we need a plan," Ava said, sounding reluctant. She still hadn't been told why they were going after the boy genius/superhero and she wasn't entirely sure she wanted to know.
"We should split up and cover more ground that way," Katie said. "We should go in teams of two,"
"Yeah," Ava agreed. "Even if he's been depowered, he's still dangerous."
"He's nothing more than a rich brat without his powers, I'm not waiting around for any of you, I'll get him myself." Jimmy huffed before walking away.
"Jimmy, wait!" Rick called but was ultimately ignored.
"No way in hell am I letting him get him before me, he'd never shut up about it," Evans said before he also walked off.
"So...I guess it's just us now," Rick said awkwardly to the remaining girls.
"Oh for..." Katie sighed deeply before turning to Ava. "This is why I've always said we need more girls in this team,"
"Agreed," Ava sighed. "Rick, you're with me, together we've got the best chance at stopping him."
"I'm going to go and try and find him, I'll call you if I find him," Katie said before walking away.
"So...this is awkward," Rick couldn't help but state.
"So are you, let's move."
(.)
"This is bull," Evans whispered under his breath as he walked through the hallways, trying to find any sign he could of Harry Osborn, AKA Spiderman. He wasn't sure why exactly Fury wanted Spiderman captured, maybe Osborn had made one too many jokes about Fury's eyepatch. Either way, he was determined to be the one to capture him. He knew that Jimmy thought that he was better than him and he wasn't going to let that slide. "I didn't go through everything just to become second best," He told himself just before turning a corner.
"Help!" A voice called a short distance away, he saw a Shield worker, collapsed on the floor, curled up in a ball. "The...Spider...he went that way," He pointed weakly to a nearby door.
"I got him, dude!" Evans said, a spike coming out of each forearm and landing in his hands. He rushed over to the door, opened it and blinked hard when he saw an empty broom cupboard. "Are you sure he...arkh?!" Evans gasped when he turned around and was promptly covered head to shoulder in webs. He looked at the fallen agent who stood up and realised that he had just been tricked by none other than Harry Osborn.
"So, that's why they call you 'Spike'?" Harry hummed before kicking Evans into the cupboard and shutting the door, locking it. "Those spikes of yours don't seem strong enough to pierce through walls,"
"Hey!" Evans called from inside. "Let me out, man!" He demanded angrily.
"Maybe later," Harry hummed. "Oh, and a piece of advice, stay low on the floor if you can't see well, it'll stop you from banging your head on anything." He said before blinking hard and activating the contact lenses he created that would show him the same HUD as his mask, an idea he had admittedly gotten from a Batman comic.
(.)
Harry kept his head down as he walked through a corridor, dressed in a shield uniform along with a cap and a pair of sunglasses, holding a clipboard he had managed to swipe from a lunchroom. He walked at a hurried pace, not looking much different from the others who were all running around, he had overheard other agents say that the whole place was searching for Spiderman A.K.A himself!
He breathed a sigh of relief as the hallway he was in was empty, allowing him to relax a bit.
"There you are," He heard a voice growl, he turned back and saw Jimmy standing a short distance away, growling at him. "You can try and hide as much as you like, but the nose knows," He said, tapping his nose before raising his fists just as three metal claws popped out of each hand. "You thought you were tough before, try me now," He challenged.
"I'd rather just tase you," He said before raising his free hand and firing a web line at Jimmy who dodged it and started charging towards Harry who quickly fired another web that Jimmy dodged, Jimmy leapt at Harry who barely managed to get one spider-leg to come out of his back in time to stop him, the leg swatted Jimmy away, slapping him halfway across the hallway where he bounced off a wall and fell to the floor. Jimmy landed on his back and barely managed to roll to his feet when the web connected to his shoulder. Harry activated the rune he had placed on his web shooter and an electrical current shot up the web and electrocuted Jimmy who let out a painful scream before growling and cutting the web.
"That..." Jimmy huffed as he stood up and glared at Harry. "...hurt!" He finished with a snarl.
"That's what your mum said," Harry replied maturely before running around the corner and onto a walkway where he saw many Shield agents gathered along with many more below. "Help!" Harry cried out, attracting all of their attention. "The freak's gone insane! He's trying to kill me! He got Lenny! Ripped out his throat! Help!" He cried out desperately before he continued running.
At that moment Jimmy rushed out and froze when he saw many, many guns pointed at him.
"Stop right there, Freak!" One Shield agent commanded.
"What are you-" Jimmy began, only to be cut off by another.
"Get down on your knees!" Another agent ordered. "You see, I told you all we couldn't trust these mutants!"
"I knew that Fury's idea was a bad thing from the start," A different agent agreed. "Down on the floor, kid! You're going to pay for what you did to Lenny!"
"Who the fuck is Lenny?!" Jimmy gaped at them. "You're letting him get away! He -"
"He doesn't even know who Lenny is!" A different agent said in an offended voice. "That's it! Detain him!"
Meanwhile, Harry had managed to sneak away and found himself in a weapons cache room. He made his way up to the walkway and began walking when the door in front of him was opened and he came face to face with Kate Bishop who quickly placed an arrow on her bow and pointed it at him.
"Nice disguise," She said genuinely. "But it's pointless now, activate comms. Everyone, I have Spiderman in front of me, we're in the weapons cache near propeller four, he's disguised as a Shield agent. Come quickly. Cutt Comms."
"Voice-activated comms?" Harry couldn't help but ask.
"Bows need both hands," She explained lightly. "Anyway, I'm going to have to ask you to surrender."
"I'm going to have to ask you not to ask me that," Harry replied, though he did raise his hands.
"I don't want to hurt you," She told him.
"And I don't want to hurt my best friend's girl," Harry replied.
"I'm...I'm not his girl," Kate said in a confused voice.
"Give it a bit, you'll fall in love," Harry said matter-of-factly. "Anyway, I'm going to ask you to put the bow down now," Harry said while taking a deep breath.
"Yeah, I'm not going to do that," She snorted.
"I figured you'd say that," Harry sighed before closing his eyes. He took in another deep breath before opening them. "If this doesn't work then I'm going to feel quite stupid," He told her before whispering under his breath. "Nox,"
Katie was about to ask just what Harry was talking about when the room's lights faded away, leaving her in total darkness. She took a moment to register what had happened and quickly shot her arrow in Harry's direction, there was a ping sound at the opposite end of the room, leading her to believe that she hadn't hit her intended target. She quickly nocked another arrow into her bow and raised it, only to be tackled hard into the ground. She let out a groan before pushing her attacker off of her, she tried to get up but was quickly placed webbed to the floor.
"Sorry about that," Harry said as the lights turned back on, he kneeled down and then took her arrows out of her quiver and began examining them. "Ooh, trick arrows," He said with an evil-looking grin.
"Oh shit," Kate whispered to herself, not liking the look on his face. She was starting to realise that Spiderman was actually a little scary.
(.)
"Oh shit!" Ava whispered, coming to a stop along with Rick outside of Fury's office where she saw Harry planting something against Fury's door.
"Hi," Harry said casually as he webbed the device to the door.
"What are you doing?!" Rick blurted out.
"Experiment," He answered, just as casually before as he finally stepped back from the device once it was stuck to the door. It was small, grey and seemed to be beeping. "Alright, so are we doing this or what?" He asked, taking several steps back.
"Oh, we're doing this alright," Rick said in a determined voice before lifting off the ground and flying towards Harry.
"Huh, flight capabilities, interesting," Harry hummed as Rick rushed up the hall.
"Rick!" Ava called, running after him. "Wait!" She cried just as Rick neared Harry, the device exploded at that moment, sending Rick flying through the wall opposite. Ava slid to a stop, only to be tackled by a lot of webs that stuck her to the floor.
"Tell Kate her trick arrows are quite impressive," Harry said as he walked through the smoke and into Fury's office, a fairly big room with a large glass wall, allowing a view of the outside. He quickly headed to the desk and ignored everything in favour of the laptop on the desk. He grinned when he spotted the spider that crawled out from the computer with a small metal vest attached to it. Harry paused as he got near it, a thoughtful frown appeared on his face. 'Come to me,' Was the mental command he sent to the spider, it obeyed much to his relief. 'Maybe all of my power hasn't gone yet,' He thought before picking up the spider, just then a noise was heard from behind.
He looked back and quickly jumped to the side, not fast enough to avoid the claw marks that scratched his chest. The claws had scratched his stolen Shield suit and even his spider suit underneath, Harry jumped back again and saw Ava Ayala standing there, her fingertips now had sharp nails piercing out and she stood ready to fight. He had barely opened his mouth when he heard a zooming sound and felt someone catch his wrist, looking up he saw it was Rick. Harry reacted on instinct and punched him in the face, only for Rick to barely blink.
"You're going to want to stop that," Rick advised just before Harry threw a couple more punches that were equally as effective as the first. "You're depowered while I'm super strong and have impenetrable skin, you're not going to win here," Rick told him. "Even if you get past me, Ava here is a master martial artist with extremely sharp claws, as you've seen."
"So, flight along with enhanced physical capabilities and strong skin," Harry noted before turning to Ava. "Sharp claws along with martial arts mastery and I'm guessing you're also physically enhanced."
"Are...are you taking notes?" Ava gaped at him from under her mask.
"A bit," Harry shrugged. "It'll be useful for our next encounter,"
"What next encounter?" Rick blurted out in confusion. "You're trapped, there's a hundred shield agents coming here and I've got you - aargh!" Rick gaped when Harry shoved a metal device in his mouth, another one Harry had taken from Kate's trick arrows, the device quickly ended up releasing a green gas that caused Rick to let go of Harry and step back before violently coughing the gas out. Ava leapt at Harry who quickly shot the brightest lumos spell he could out of his hands, blinding her but that didn't stop her from managing to claw his left shoulder when he tried to dodge. He hadn't had much time to lament about how much he missed his enhanced speed, instead, he grabbed her and tossed her at Rick. For all of her capabilities, she was still a teenage girl who weighed less than him.
Rick caught her whilst still coughing, Harry quickly webbed the two of them together before turning and jumping at the glass wall with all four spider legs out. The legs smashed through the window, causing a lot of wind to start blowing into the office.
"Are you nuts?!" Ava shrieked over the large winds as she started freeing herself. "We're hundreds of feet in the air!"
"I noticed, lucky we're not higher or we'd be right fucked," Harry said as his legs smashed more glass while he placed his mask on. "Tell Fury, I'll be back for him soon." He said before leaping out of the Hellicarrier and plummeting straight down to the ground.
"What are you doing?!" Peter's voice spoke through his earpiece. "We haven't tested them yet,"
"Live in the moment, Peter," Harry responded whilst grinning from under his mask as the wind washed over his body.
"I just hope that you live past it!" Was Peter's response.
"Let's see," Harry said before activating the newest feature in his suit. A pair of web-patterned wings shot out, connecting from his elbows to his hips. He had based them on the gliding suits that he had seen on the internet, if they worked then he'd be able to hopefully glide somewhere safe.
"Are you using the web wings?!" Came Gwen's voice.
"Yep!"
"..."
"..."
"Oh, I hope this works," She said in a pained voice.
(.)
"It worked!" Harry announced as he entered his room, wearing a bunch of clothes that he had been forced to buy from a local second-hand shop. Typically he would have entered through the window in his costume but that wasn't much of an option at this point. His girlfriend plus friends breathed a big sigh of relief upon seeing him.
"We'll consider that a successful trial run then," Peter said dryly whilst shaking his head, sitting at Harry's desk with Harry's laptop open in front of him. "Also, I have to ask, were you really trying to set me up with super-powered Shield agents?" He asked incredulously.
"My ambitions are far beyond your mortal understanding," Harry huffed as he walked over and plopped down onto the bed, next to Felicia.
"You are such a good friend," Felicia commented whilst patting his arm.
"I am," Harry agreed with a nod.
"Yeah, well, I hate to bring up the government-sized elephant in the room but I'm going to bring up the government-sized elephant in the room," Gwen spoke up. "First things first, did you really lose your powers?"
"Not all of them, I still have my magic and I can still talk to spiders," Harry answered somberly. "But I'm as strong as a regular human now and I definitely can't stick to walls."
"We'll have to check if the rest of your powers are still up and running," Peter said thoughtfully.
"I hope you haven't lost the fangs, they make you look hot," Felicia stated matter-of-factly.
"There are many things wrong with you, you do know that, yes?" Gwen asked genuinely.
"As a matter of fact, I did know that," Felicia replied in an honest voice, earning a satisfied nod from Gwen.
"Did you get the spiders?" Peter asked.
"One of them," Harry sighed as he stood up and walked over, pulling out the spider. "I didn't really have time to get the other, what with the whole of Shield chasing after me." He said, placing the spider on the desk and carefully removing the vest from it. Once it was off, the spider quickly walked away, deciding that its work here was obviously done. "Thank you," Harry told it, causing it to stop and turn around. The spider gave him a small wave with one leg before it started climbing down his desk.
"Ignoring that for a moment," Peter said, barely blinking at the way his friend casually interacted with spiders. "Do you mind?" He asked, pointing to the small spider vest. Harry tapped the spider-vest, activating the rune on it, it grew in size until there was a small USB in the shape of a ring. "Magic and tech are so cool," Peter grinned before picking up the USB.
"Yep," Gwen agreed as Peter plugged it in.
"Pass it to me," Harry said, taking the laptop. "I'm putting it on my private server, nobody but me will be able to access it that way."
"You have a private server?" Felicia asked.
"I'm a boy genius who provides inventions to one of the most important organisations in the world whilst living under my billionaire dad, so yeah, I have a private server." He said before putting the laptop back down and giving it to Peter. "Enjoy, you little computer gremlin," He said, tapping Peter on the back. Peter maturely gave him the finger before he started accessing the files.
"So, this spider managed to get into Fury's personal computer?" Gwen asked.
"Yeah, the other one should have been able to get into Shield's computers during the whole mess of them trying to capture me," Harry replied. He had originally been hoping to make some distraction of some sort to let his second spider sneak in, though Fury turning on him worked just as well as nearly every agent there had been trying to find him.
"He did," Gwen nodded. "That's how we were able to help you after all, even managed to block the cameras from finding you. Still, I'm surprised it worked."
"I told you it would," Felicia said in a smug voice, it had been her idea for Harry to distract Fury and to place the camera in his glasses while the spiders snuck out of Harry. "Always let the audience think they're winning, Fury thought that he won when the camera was found."
"He didn't even notice the spiders sneaking out," Harry grinned.
"I will admit, it worked, but we had to cut the connection quickly before they could start trying to track us," Gwen told Harry.
"I doubt they could, but yeah, better safe than sorry." Harry frowned. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that the four of them were pretty smart, not to mention they had the benefit of accessing Oscorp tech so it was pretty unlikely that Shield could track the group's hacking. But with that being said, he had come from the magical world and realised very quickly that 'never say never' was a useful way to live. Besides, he didn't know the full extent of Shield's capabilities. "Hopefully, Shield thinks I managed to hack them while I was there."
"It's possible with the right wireless device," Peter hummed. "You'd be close enough to do it."
"Hmm, either way, I need to go back there and get the other spider. He'll have all of Shield's files, combine them with Fury's private ones and then I'll make both my bitch," Harry growled, his emerald orbs flashing bright green.
"Hmm, that's hot as well," Felicia said appreciatively.
"These files will take a long time to look through, there's hundreds of stuff here," Peter told Harry, looking away from the laptop.
"Leave it for a sec, I need to create a new file," Harry told him.
"Okay, I'm on it," Peter said. "New file is up,"
"Alright, write today's date and a memo to get voice activation fitted into this and then write what I tell you to," Harry instructed, Peter did as he was told.
"Okay, whenever you're ready," Peter said, waiting for Harry to speak.
"Information will be updated soon. Evan Daniels, also known as 'Spike'," Harry began and Peter started typing. "Capable of creating bone-like spikes from his body. Limits unknown, though I theorise he will possibly need a larger-than-normal amount of calcium. Jimmy Hudson A.K.A Savage, enhanced physical capabilities along with metal claws that extend from his hands. Aggressive and animal-like, a possible weakness and advantage for him. Rick Riker, AKA, Dragonfly. He is physically enhanced and capable of flight, with no known weakness yet, though gas seems to work well against him. Next is White Tiger and Kate Bishop, the females of the team with the former being physically enhanced, both seem to be competent fighters, White Tiger A.K.A Ava Ayala seems to rely on physical combat and sharp claws while Kate Bishop relies on her bow and arrows. I haven't seen White Tiger's face but theorise that she is also attractive. She and Kate Bishop both are attractive by today's societal norms and have wide enough hips that will aid them in birthing Peter Parker's genius children whilst also providing him with what I suspect will be satisfactory coitus. They appear to have upper halves good enough to feed said children and...why did you stop writing?" He asked Peter who was staring at him.

A.N: Hi guys, hope you liked the chapter. There's just a few things I anticipate people saying so I want to nip them in the bud.
1) Spiderman losing his powers is not uncommon. He lost in the TASM game, Spiderman 2 (the movie), nearly lost them in Spectacular Spiderman and if I remember right then Nick Fury in the Ultimate Spiderman comics had a way to stop his powers from working. I do have something planned here.
2) The spiders might seem a bit confusing but the basic idea is that Harry snuck them on the ship and had magically-shrunk runes on the USB drives which the spiders then snuck into two computers. One would be Fury's private computer and the other would be Shield's main computer system and now Harry wants to go back to Shield to retrieve the other spider.
3) Some of the computer/scenes language in here might not make sense (I'm not a computer expert at all) so I apologise for that but I hope that everyone more or less understands what I'm trying to say.
4) I can sense some complaints about an underpowered Harry managing to escape the team and Shield, Harry used tech to avoid the regular shield agents and he got the rest with trickery and brains. Spike was lured into a trap and placed in a room he can't escape from in a quick amount of time, Savage was turned on by Shield Agents and he obviously can't start killing them all when he's trying to impress Fury. Kate is a normal human and lost mostly thanks to not knowing about magic. Ava and Rick are not experienced (Rick especially) and were dealt with using a combination of tech and Harry using them against each other. Either way, it's hardly the most ridiculous or illogical feat in the marvel universe, is it?
5) Nox is a wand-extinguishing charm so should theoretically only work on wands but it means 'night' according to my research so it is potentially possible for it to work on regular lights (especially in a fic where I make all of the rules).
Anyway, that's enough from me at the moment, thank you for reading and feel free to leave a review.

Way Harry was talking there mande me think of Batman/Sheldon Cooper. ANd the added comedy of him picking out partners for Peter too..ahahaha! WOndering when he and Gwen will end up a thing though at some point.

Also am always glad to see that bald headed arrogant bastard Fury get a dose of reality tat he ain't as smart or clever as he thinks.

2025-01-25 00:28:08 +0000 UTCThank you very much for another entertaining chapter, and his escape was believable, he still had his magic and technological advantages. I imagine black widow and Hawkeye could probably do something similar, just with no magic lol. I am looking forward to see what you have planned in regards to his Spider-Man powers.
