Bat-Harry test chapter

Plot: Watch as Harry Potter slowly and surely becomes the masked vigilante of the wizarding world, known as Batman. Book 1: Harry in the wizarding world. Book 2: Harry in Gotham. Possible book 3 about Harry meeting the justice league. First scene is an exact copy of an earlier test chapter.

Book 1:

Scene 1:

Harry let out a deep breath as he sat in his room, holding the potion in his hand as he reflected on his last few years at Hogwarts. The school had been a welcome break from the horror of the Dursley family. Even though he still held a grudge the size of Russia against the headmaster for putting him there in the first place. Still, it wasn't all bad as he had at least learnt some things from there. Mostly how to pick locks and steal food so he wouldn't starve, but still...learning is learning.

Once he came to Hogwarts, he realised that he was apparently a world-famous celebrity. His parents had died trying to protect him from an evil wizard that baby Harry had somehow defeated. Everyone expected him to go into Gryffindor's house like his parents, but he hadn't found the house to be appealing as the people there looked irritatingly loud and friendly, something that had also ruled out Hufflepuff. Slytherin was also out as he hadn't fancied spending his school years in a house with the likes of Malfoy and other such similar beings who would wish him harm, leaving him in Ravenclaw. Something that had shocked the whole school.

In Ravenclaw, he had actually made a few friends, something that he hadn't thought was possible. He had enjoyed his first year, for the most part, learning new magic and exploring the magical world had been quite an adventure. But the world soon lost its magic as he found himself in constant danger. He had nearly died in his first year and his second thanks to the remains of Voldemort, while his third year had him deal with the fallout of his innocent godfather and a disguised death eater, now he was in a tournament with a high death rate because the bloody headmaster couldn't think of anything better to protect the goblet than an age line.

Since his first year, he had made it his mission to learn the best he could, which was why he was now in his room doing something risky and very stupid.

"Bottoms up," He said before drinking the potion, ignoring the rather horrid taste. What followed was a rather intense and painful experience, but by the end of it, he had achieved the exact results he wanted.

At night, all of the occupants of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry fell asleep in their beds, all apart from one being who slept upside down from the frame of his window. A green-eyed, lightning-bolt-scarred bat.

Book 2:

Scene 2:

Harry let out a deep breath as he travelled up the hill in front of him, he was quite sure that many, many people suspected that he was probably sleeping with the latest supermodel or swimming in piles of money, but none of them were likely to realise that he had spent the last three years travelling the world, learning all he could. He had recently just finished studying with a man who had been able to train his mind to disconnect from his body so he could feel no pain at all. Funnily enough, that muggle had ended up teaching Harry more about occlumency than Snape ever had.

Once he reached the top of the hill, he found himself face to face with a large bear that appeared to have recently just decimated another animal, one that it was enjoying eating if the blood on its mouth could be an indicator. The bear turned at him and growled warningly, at that point a sane man would have ran, but Harry felt he had left the realm of sanity long ago.

He walked forward calmly, releasing his magical aura enough for the bear to feel it, the bear seemed to hesitate but then growled once more. Harry's eyes narrowed and he released more of his aura, a whimper escaped the bear as it quickly lowered its head. Harry walked forward, ignoring the dead animal carcass and casually patted the bear's head before walking past it. The bear didn't follow after him, leaving him a nice uneventful walk to the next village. Once inside he headed to one of the market fruit stands, he frowned as he checked his pockets, seeing that he barely had enough coins left for a simple apple. He doubted that these people would take credit cards, not that he had any of those on him either right now.

"Here you go," A feminine voice said before he felt a fresh apple being placed into his hand. He looked up and saw a brown-haired woman staring at him. "You seemed hungry," She said with a smile.

"Thank you, but I can afford my own apples," Harry said respectfully.

"I'm sure you can, Mr Wayne," She said with a knowing smile, causing Harry to stiffen. "I can't help but wonder, since when did the heir to Gotham travel the world? And while we're on that topic, do you think you can teach me what you did with that bear?"

"You've been watching me," It wasn't a question, Harry sighed deeply. "Perhaps we can start with an introduction."

"I am Thalia, Thaila Al Ghul."

Book 3:

Scene 3:

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Flash asked once more, earning a groan from Hal Jordon AKA Green Lantern. The two were running/flying towards the 'Bat-Cave' as it was known in order to recruit Batman into their new little group.

"Barry, relax already," Hal sighed. "We're just going to go and meet Batman, say hello, convince him to join and then we can celebrate with a couple of burgers."

"Dude, we're showing up unannounced at Batman's home!" Flash hissed, slowing himself enough to not leave Hal in the dust. "I don't think he'll like it."

"The dude spends most of his time fighting circus freaks from an asylum," Hal said dismissively. "You've got super speed and I can make damn near anything with my ring. Don't worry so much," He said as the two of them pushed through a waterfall and fell into a tunnel that Hal illuminated with his ring. They travelled a short distance before they finally found the famous Batcave.

There were several levels to the cave, each level containing different things like weapons and statues and such.

"Whoa, this is cool," Hal said, flying up to the highest part of the cave.

"Hal, stop!" Flash called. "You probably don't want to do that,"

"Dude, I'm a Green Lantern, what's the worst that can happen?" Hal asked as he landed on the top level. He had barely finished that sentence before he felt himself get knocked onto his back, looking up he saw a tall figure standing over him, dressed head to toe in armour while wearing a flowing black cape and a bat shaped helmet.

"Batman!" Flash said quickly.

Hal raised his fist and pointed his hand, only to blink when he realised he wasn't wearing his ring. He looked up and saw Batman examining the ring, meanwhile, his Green Lantern uniform disappeared, leaving him in his flight suit.

"Hmm," Batman's voice was low, whispery. He looked at Hal and then kicked him off the edge.

"What the fuck?!" Hal yelled as he fell to the ground. Barry quickly ran up and leapt into the air, catching Hal and having the two of them land on one of the lower levels. "The guy's crazy!" Hal blurted out as soon as they landed.

"Told you so," Flash glared at him just as Batman glided down.

"That's mine!" Hal said, summoning the ring back to his hand. "You tried to kill me!" He accused.

"No, I knew he'd catch you, just wanted to get you both low enough for the wards to catch you. I haven't installed them on the upper floors yet," Batman explained.

"Wards?" Flash asked before suddenly feeling himself freeze. "What the hell?!"

"Barry!" Hal yelled. "I...I can't move!"

"Me neither!" Flash said as he stared at Batman as the man's feet left the floor and he hovered forward and landed in front of them.

"Why are you both here?" Batman asked, pulling out a very sharp-looking batarang.

"Superman sent us!" Flash said quickly.

"What for?"

"He wants you to join our team," Hal spoke up. "There's a threat coming to Earth, a big one, we need all hands on deck." He said, staring at Batman. He couldn't see that man's face, but he got the distinct impression that he was considering just killing them. It was a good ten seconds later before Batman finally spoke.

"I'm listening,"

A.N: The idea of this story is basically like my Harold Wayne story, only this time I want to start with his origin and then have the second book be becoming the Bat of Gotham while there was possibly a third book showing him in the Justice League. For the first book, I would put up a poll pairing with HP characters and for the second book I'd put up a poll with DC characters. Personally, I'm thinking of having Susan Bones or Daphne Greengrass for the 1st book and then Wonder Woman for the rest.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed the test chapter. Remember that you still have plenty of time to change your votes if you want. Thanks for reading.

Comments

Awesome, appreciate the clarification. That is certainly a good code to go by.

Christian Jeffress

More like a preference than a rule. For example he might give Joker a chance or two before doing the deed. Meanwhile he'd be far less likely to harm someone like Ivy providing she hasn't killed anyone

Q

Oh, would this Harry Potter Batman have a similar strict no kill rule?

Christian Jeffress

Worm

Q

I haven't watched

Q

This definitely seems like it could be very entertaining, although I just had the funny idea of Luna in the first book acting similar to Harley Quinn, but getting together with Harry instead of someone like a joker equivalent lol. She even loves pudding!

Christian Jeffress

This is Batman we're talking about, that won't stop him. By the way, will you ever write a Worm(Parahumans) story ?

GyaNNN

"What's this I smell? Smells like... GOOD READING!" In all seriousness, this seems like a brilliant idea: Batman's paranoia and tactical mind paired with Harry's powerful magic and determination to do what's right by any means necessary. I see great things - terrible, yes, but great.

Silent Anthem

If there's enough votes on the poll then I will.

Q

He won't really have a wand, but he will have wandless magic and runes, wards, etc.

Q

Sold.

A Batman with the raw power of Harry Potter with all the freedom that that type of Magic has? This is like giving Taylor Hebert the power of Doctor Manhattan or the Reality Stone, OP as fuck. Therefore my answer HELL YES!

GyaNNN

I so want to read this one Author sama. Pls make it 🥺🥺
