"Snape was the one who told Voldemort about a prophecy!" Venom roared as he leapt over five buildings with a single jump. "He told Voldemort, and when Voldemort discovered it was our family, Snape asked him to spare our mother! He didn't care if we died! He didn't care if our father died! He only wanted our mother for himself! Who knows what he would have done to her! He's the reason Voldemort was after our family! We could have had both our parents and a sister if it weren't for him! We need to find him!"

'Kill him,' Harry said coldly.
"Kill him!" Venom said furiously.
"Kill him!" The two said at once.

Chapter 79 -
In Spinner's End, Cokeworth, Severus Snape had finally exited from his basement after having finally completed making several potions for the upcoming school year. As he made his way up to the upper floors of the house, he couldn't help but mentally rant about how many people had no idea just how much money Dumbledore managed to save from the Hogwarts budget by having Snape make most of the potions that the school needed. He had made so many different potions for the hospital wing, many of which were unfortunately wasted going down the Potter brat's throat, it was even cheaper when you consider that many of the ingredients needed for the potions could be grown in Sprout's greenhouses or found in the Forbidden Forest by that oaf, Hagrid. Snape wasn't a big fan of the cumbersome oaf, but he couldn't deny that the half-giant had his uses.
Once he reached the end of the stairs that had not been changed at all since his horrid childhood here, he entered the room that at one point belonged to the sperm donor that he had the misfortune of calling his father. Snape had long ago thrown out any and all things from this house that reminded him of his father. His father was one of the rare individuals whom he hated more than Potter and his horrid spawn, the man responsible for many of his own childhood suffering. It had been a blessed day for Severus Snape when that man had finally left the mortal coil, Snape had actually celebrated by breaking into the man's stash and drinking his favourite alcohol.
Letting out a deep sigh, he rolled his neck and was about to start getting ready for bed when the whole house shook, causing him to freeze. He had warded his house against as many different methods of magic as he could think of, but he had never warded the damn place against physical attacks. Twisting on his heel and apparating down into the entrance hallway, he stopped as the house shook once more. He whipped out his wand quickly, having pulled it out just in time, as a moment later, the front door of his house shot towards him. A hasty shield blocked the door, he was pushed back a couple of feet while the door shattered against the shield and fell into pieces on the floor. Snape looked at the entrance and finally got a good look at just who was attacking him.
Standing with the night to his back was a figure who seemed to be all black with the exception of his white tear-drop shaped eyes and a giant spider logo on his body. A slightly closer look revealed to Snape that the person was not wearing a black costume, but instead he appeared to be covered in a black goo of some kind.
"Who are you?!" Snape demanded. "What do you want?!"
"We are Venom," Venom replied hatefully. "And what we want is your death, Death Eater!"
"Good luck," Snape sneered before waving his wand, the broken pieces of the door transfigured into silver knives that rose in the air and, with a simple gesture, shot towards Venom. Venom took a step back as the knives shot into his body. He stayed still for a moment before the knives began being pulled into his body. Venom let out an amused huff before he grunted, and the same knives shot back out of his body and towards Snape. Snape's eyes widened, and he raised his wand, barely managing to vanish the knives before they hit him.
"We don't need luck, but you do," Venom growled before running towards Snape. Another wave of Snape's wand caused the environment to change, and a new wall grew out of the floor and cut off Venom from Snape.
For a moment.
Venom's fist shattered through the wall with ease, not even a second later. Snape wasn't idle and quickly shot off his patented 'Sectumsempra' curse, a spell that would cause the victim to suffer as if they had been struck by a sword. His spell crashed into Venom's shoulder, and it cut into him, but the goo quickly reformed, making the damage pointless. Venom roared and destroyed the rest of the wall before he leapt at Snape.
Snape quickly apparated up to his bedroom, and with a flick of his wand, he summoned his emergency trunk, a trunk that he had magically shrunk to the size of a small toy. Something he kept for if he ever needed a quick getaway from his house, this seemed like an appropriate occasion to use it. He had barely stuffed the thing into his pocket when the house shook once more. Several large red spikes shot through the ceiling, the house continued shaking, and Severus watched in horror as the ceiling was ripped off his house along with the entire roof.
Hovering over his house while flapping its large red wings was what appeared to be a large demon from hell, a bird creature made of a red goo exactly like that of Venoms. The bird creature was the size of an elephant with dark eyes, sharp teeth and several large tentacles that were holding up the roof of his house. An unholy screech came out from its beak. If he weren't so horrified, then he would have been worried about the statute of secrecy, as it was most certain that every Muggle in the street would be hearing this. The large red monster screeched once more before it dropped the roof back down in Snape's direction. Snape managed to shake himself back into reality and apparated onto a nearby roof.
He looked back in time to see his former house being crushed into rubble, he didn't get much time to think about it as Venom had landed on this large bird's back and directed it to look in Snape's direction.
"GET HIM!" Bellowed Venom, hate audible from even such a distance. The creature roared and charged after Snape. Snape quickly took flight, using a spell taught to him by the dark lord, and tried to fly away. But he realised quickly that ihe would not be outrunning this massive creature, which managed to catch up to him with ease. Taking a moment to calm his mind, he apparated away, just before its wide, monstrous jaws managed to grab him. "NNNOOOOOO!" Roared Venom before he apparated after Snape.
Venom appeared right in front of the forbidden forest, a growl escaped his lips as he saw Snape flying towards Hogwarts. Venom had no intention of letting Snape get away with his head still attached to his body and began running after him.
'No, stop,' Harry said quickly. 'You won't catch him in time! He's nearly at the wards!'
"I don't give a hot fuck!" Venom said, easily reducing the distance between him and Snape in record time. He was ready to leap when Venom found his body forcibly stopped.
'No!' Harry said forcefully. 'It's too late, Venom. He's already in the wards!'
"We can still get him!" Venom growled, trying to move but found himself unable to. "How?! How are you controlling me?!"
'Not a bleeding clue,' Harry admitted honestly.
"Okay, then tell me why you are controlling me?!" Demanded Venom. "He's right there!"
'You know exactly why!' Harry said in a frustrated voice. 'You think I don't want him dead either?! But we can't! He's in the Hogwarts wards! You know as well as I do that that means Dumbledore could be next to him in seconds.'
'We defeated Voldemort!' Venom mentally snarled as he turned and stomped towards the forbidden forest. 'We can handle Dumbledore.'
'You know what Voldemort knows, not in the castle,' Reminded Harry. Venom growled once more, much as he hated to admit it, he knew that Harry was right. Voldemort's memories had revealed a lot of things to the pair of them, one of which was the real reason why Voldemort never attacked Hogwarts.
Many believed that it was simply because Voldemort feared Dumbledore, but that wasn't the complete truth. The dark lord had a more than healthy respect for what the older man could do, but he also knew that it would be futile to attempt to attack him at Hogwarts. The wards of Hogwarts were so unique and ancient that even the best of today's magical world couldn't completely understand how they worked. Voldemort himself wasn't even fully sure of all of their capabilities, but a few things he did know for certain. Firstly, the wards would always boost the power of the headmaster, and when that headmaster was Dumbledore, it was just plain suicide to attack him there. Not to mention the castle's defensive capabilities. There were far too many rumours about what the castle could possibly do to an intruder, which is why Voldemort never attacked Hogwarts directly. It was why Voldemort and his servants always had to sneak in. It was why Snape had run there first before anywhere else. The castle was guarded not just by unbeatable and unknown wards, but it was also protected by none other than the most powerful wizard in modern history. During the regular school year, they could possibly get Snape, as it was much harder to find a single person or creature with so many people in the wards. But when the school was practically empty, Dumbledore could easily find anyone who intruded into the castle without his permission. But then again, if they killed Snape during the school year, Dumbledore would undoubtedly be tracking down whoever did that, and when that particular confrontation happened, the last thing they needed was for it to happen in Hogwarts.
'Our home belongs to our enemies,' Harry thought sadly. The castle had been a home for a long while. But now it was also holding the man responsible for the death of his parents, and the man who was protecting him. He knew that they could kill Snape easily during the school year, but then they'd be tracked down. Hogwarts was Dumbledore's kingdom, if they wanted any chance of killing Snape and getting away with it, then they had to do it outside of the castle.
'I don't much care if Dumbledore wants to protect him or not,' Venom responded. 'Snape dies, end of story.'
'Agreed,' Replied Harry. 'But we need to think. We need to be ready, because as soon as Snape is gone, we'll have Voldemort and Dumbledore both coming after us and then probably the Ministry as well.'
'Bitches!'
'Indeed,' Agreed Harry with a mental nod. 'Either way, we have something else we should focus on first. Voldy had his shit-rocked by us, he'll undoubtedly want to get access to the full contents of the prophecy now. He might suspect that it'll have a way to beat us. Knowing Dumbledore, he's probably already setting up protections for it. We need to try and find out what he's doing and then get the prophecy first. That'll be our priority.'
'First the prophecy, then Snape,' Grunted Venom.
'We'll kill him together,' Harry promised. 'Come on, let's go home. We can plot Snape's painfully horrid death together before we go to sleep.' Harry suggested.
'That would be nice,' Venom said genuinely. 'We can remove his genitals and feed him his heart before crushing his skull with his heart inside his mouth. Oh, perhaps we could feed him to dozens of spiders.'
(.)
'Maybe we could pull his brain out through his nose,' Was the first thing Harry heard when he woke up in the morning. 'Oh, perhaps we can kick him between the legs with all of our strength. It's not likely that he'll shoot up into the air like in the cartoons. If he does, then he'll probably have a massively deformed body. Then again, it's also possible that our foot just completely rips through his entire body, leaving him in a bloody mess.' That was the second thing Harry had heard when he had woken up in the morning.
Thanks to the wonders of apparating, it hadn't taken them long to get back to Sirius's house and sneak back in. Once they had gotten there, Harry had met up with Hedwig/Carnage, who was frustrated at the lack of dead Potion Masters and wanted to do something. So Harry had written a letter to Fleur and had Hedwig take it while also telling her to take her time and enjoy hunting on the way there. Since leaving Hogwarts until Harry had finally fallen asleep, Venom had given nonstop ideas on how to dispose of Snape. Some were relatively mild, others were relatively simple, a few were ridiculous, some were overcomplicated, and Harry would never ever - even under the threat of death - repeat to anyone the idea Venom had involving the shoelace and the mustard-coated chocolate bunny. Some things were not meant to be heard by human ears. Now that Harry was awake, Venom decided to continue to bombard Harry with more ideas regarding Snape's death.
Harry nodded along to the ones he found acceptable, even whilst he was using the loo and brushing his teeth. Venom finally stopped when Harry came down into the kitchen and found Tonks sitting at the table with a deep frown on her face as she looked over a newspaper.
"You alright, Tonksie?" Harry asked as he headed over to the fridge.
"Alright, Harry," She said absently with a sigh, without even looking away from the newspaper. She then frowned deeper and looked up. "Oh yeah, hi Venom." She said with a tired smile. A black tentacle popped out of Harry's back and gave Tonks a small wave before retracting. Tonks let out an amused snort before turning her attention back to the screen.
"So, what are you doing?" She heard Harry ask.
"Looking for a new job," Tonks moaned. "It's so fucking stressful! Hey, we're looking for people who need jobs. Oh, you want a job? Just fill out twenty thousand applications first and tell us why we should hire you." Tonks complained. "Because you're hiring, you morons!" She said with a roll of her eyes before finally looking up as she heard the sound of a plate next to her. Looking up, she found a bowl full of ice cream next to her. "For me?!" She smiled brightly up at Harry.
"For you," He said with a fond smile as he patted her on the shoulder before he went over to start making his own breakfast. "So, where's everyone else?"
"It's eleven, Harry," Tonks pointed out with a shrug. She frowned when she realised that she needed a spoon as well. Looking up, she was about to ask for one when a Venom tentacle dropped one into her bowl. "Thanks, Venom!" Tonks grinned, high-fiving the tentacle. She was beginning to really start liking Venom, especially since she was now relatively sure that the being wouldn't be eating her brains out. "Anyway, as I was saying," She continued speaking casually while watching with fascination as several other tentacles coming out from Harry's back worked in sync with Harry to make breakfast. One easily handed him what appeared to be salt while the other picked up a pan for him, and so on, while Harry was working on some eggs. "Dad went to work, Sirius and Mum have gone out somewhere together for some good old family bonding. Regular family bonding, not Black family-style bonding, obviously."
"Yeah, you're mother doesn't seem like the type to cheat on your dad," Harry nodded to that. "Plus, she can do way better than Sirius."
"True," Tonks agreed while a certain ex-prisoner of Azkaban who was across the country felt the urge to sneeze. "Anyway, you okay, Harry? You don't normally wake up so late."
"It's a bit of a headache to explain, but long story short, I'm going to kill Snape sooner or later." Harry shrugged. Tonks stared at his back for a long moment.
"I'm going to need some context for that, but fair enough," She replied, deciding she'd wait until later to unpack that statement and see just how serious Harry was. Sure, Snape was a complete and total dick who could do with a good beating or two but as far as she knew he hadn't recently done anything deserving of death.
"So while they're all doing that, you're here looking at jobs?" Harry asked over his shoulder.
"Pretty much," Tonks confirmed with a sigh.
"Don't worry about it, I got you covered," Harry turned around and grinned at her.
"Oh?" Tonks looked at him questioningly. "And how do you plan to do that, Mr Miracle Worker?" She asked just as Hedwig flew into the room and landed on a nearby perch with a letter tied to her leg.
"Hedwig, attagirl," Harry said fondly as one of Venom's tentacles retrieved the letter. "I'm going to get some food for you. Once you're treated and ready, I need you to send a job application for Tonks." Hedwig hooted and tilted her head to the side, giving Harry a knowing look. "Yep," Harry nodded to her. "That's right, send it to the Quibbler."

A.N: Hi guys, hope you liked the chapter. Just wanted to address a few things:
1) I tried not to make the Snape chase too long, as realistically, the first thing you'd do when getting chased by an angry monster is teleport away to safety if you can.
2) The in-story reason for why Venom has not removed Snape from existence is that Snape managed to get into Hogwarts, which is basically a safe haven for Dumbledore's allies. I think of it like trying to kill a policeman and knowing that you likely won't succeed if he reaches the police station or at least you won't make it out without getting caught. My reason is that I have later plans for Snape in this story and I want him to be around for a bit longer.
3) I know some people are asking about my other stories. I will write for them, but I am primarily focusing on Bonded for the time being. I'll upload for the rest in between as I might need a break from this story every now and then. I will hopefully have a Hydrus Black chapter up soon, don't ask me when.
4) Yes, Hedwig left at night to go to France and came back in the morning. According to my research, adult Snowy Owls can travel at speeds of up to 46mph/74kmh. But Hedwig now has Carnage so she can fly as fast as I bloody well say she can, savvy?
5) Sorry the upload was a little late, it was my son's 1st birthday party yesterday and my wife was treating it as if we were planning for the King of England. Anytime I wasn't at work, I was sent out to shop for something. Inbetween I didn't have much time for writing so I spent that time just continuing to plan for my future son of Batman story, I've got tons of notes on it, but haven't decided on a few things. For example the name, and one of my ideas is replacing Aqualad with Percy Jackson while I'm also debating if I should pair Bruce with Catwoman or Black Canary and about fifty other ideas that I'm considering. And yes, I am indirectly asking you all what you think.
Anyway, thanks for reading, and feel free to leave a review.

2025-05-07 00:43:55 +0000 UTCHappy birthday to your son, I’m sure it was a great one. Thank you very much for another excellent chapter, and a very entertaining confrontation with Snape. And in regards to the flight speed of Hedwig, I mean, like you said, she’s Carnage now, And hardly going to be stopped by conventional speeds of a snowy owl lol.
