Short story, Harry-Supergirl

Plot: Nobody in Hogwarts thinks that Harry has a date for the Yule Ball; they've never been more wrong in their lives. Short story.

(.)

Harry allowed himself a small smile as he adjusted his tie in the mirror. Tonight was the night of the Yule Ball, and after being forced into a tournament and nearly killed by a dragon, he was looking forward to relaxing. It was a bit of an annoyance, to say the least, that he had to start the dance in front of everyone, but aside from that, he was looking forward to tonight.

After the Yule Ball had been announced, Harry had been swarmed by tons of girls wanting to go with him. More than half of them had also been the same girls who had insulted him and worn those stupid 'Potter stinks' badges that Draco made. Though now he was popular again so they wanted to get into his good graces. He had rejected every girl who asked him to the ball, the ones who hadn't tried to bully him got a polite refusal, everyone else...well...he wasn't so poite. When one girl asked him out, he had told her apologetically that he already had a date.

Something that led to the whole school trying to work out who he was going with. Rumours started flying quickly, even by Hogwarts standards. Some people believed he was secretly dating a Slytherin; others thought he was perhaps taking someone a bit younger than him. One rumour said that he was taking the astronomy professor and that she was already pregnant with his child.

'I kind of wish that one was true,' He thought to himself. 'She's well fit.' He concluded with a small nod before walking out of the bathroom and into his dorm room, where the other boys had just finished getting ready.

Neville, Seamus, and Dean were all wearing simple black robes; meanwhile, Ron was wearing some horrible maroon travesty that probably would have been unfashionable even when Dumbledore was a boy. Harry hadn't completely forgiven Ron for abandoning him early this year, but now he had, going to the ball in those robes, yes, Karma had done its job sufficiently. Ron stared at the reflection of himself in the mirror next to his bed, looking like he had just been sent to death row. The other boys gave him sympathetic looks just before Ron saw Harry.

"What's that?" He blurted out, gesturing to Harry's choice of clothes.

"It's a suit," Harry shrugged, having chosen to wear a black Muggle suit, complete with a white shirt and bowtie.

"But Harry, the dress code specified that we had to wear robes." Neville frowned.

"I didn't hear anything about a dress code," Harry shrugged. "Besides, let them say what they want. This is far more comfortable than robes. And I'm one of the champions anyway, what are they going to do? Start the ball without me?"

"You sure your date won't mind?" Dean asked him.

"She was the one who suggested it; she's not a big fan of the robes," Harry said before checking his watch. "Alright, I've got to go meet her now. I'll see you guys at the ball."

"Hey, you've still not told us who she is," Seamus pointed out. "Is it true you're taking every female member of your Quidditch team?"

"He's not, two of them are going with Fred and George," Ron pointed out. "I heard he's taking the French champion." Dean let out an appreciative whistle at that.

"She's a looker," Seamus said with a grin.

"She's alright," Harry shrugged before making his way to the door.

"What do you mean, alright?!" Ron all but demanded. "She's practically a goddess, the best-looking woman I've ever seen in my life."

"My date's better," Harry said casually before he made his way out the door. He headed down to the bottom of the stairs and dodged the busy crowd in front of him before making his way out of the portrait. A minute or so later, he was in an abandoned hallway and opening up a window. Taking a look around to make sure that nobody was there, human or otherwise, he let out a small whistle and took a step back.

"You called?" A voice teased just as a girl descended down like an angel from the heavens. Red boots that reached up to her thighs, a matching skirt and a blue top that covered her entire upper half with an 'S' symbol on her chest and a red cape. All of that, combined with the most beautiful blonde in the world, made a rather stunning sight. Draped over her shoulder was a beautiful black dress that he knew would look just great on her.

"Hey, Kara," He smiled, taking her in his arms and pulling her into a hug, which she gladly returned. "Not that I'm complaining about how you look, but you're going to want to get changed quickly." He said before gesturing to a nearby broom closet.

"Don't worry, I only need a second...literally." She said with a smile. "How long till we have to be there?"

"Not for another fifteen minutes," Harry said after glancing at his watch. "Why?"

"Fifteen minutes where we're all alone, with no one in sight and an unused broom closet," She purred as she placed her hands on his chest and looked up into his eyes, her blue orbs meeting his emerald ones. "So many possibilities, don't you think?" She asked, moulding her body against his.

"Yeah, well, right now...it's not my top head that's doing the thinking." He grinned

A.N: Hi guys, hope you liked this short story. Originally, I was going to make it a bit longer, but I wasn't really feeling it, you know. Anyway, hope you guys liked it, feel free to leave a review.

Comments

I agree that this one has great possibilities for a larger story. I don't recall reading a fic with this pairing before.

Kalen D

I hope you come back to this at some point. Harry/Kara is my favorite crossover pairing.

I would like to see this idea expand
