OC as Spiderman

Plot: An ordinary man wakes up in the body of Peter Parker the same day he got bit by the spider that gave him powers. Pairing will be voted on.

Scene 1 -

"It's amazing," Peter whispered to himself as he stood on one hand in his room. His other hand was holding up a book which he was reading upside down. It seemed like only yesterday he was a common Joe in his world, destined to a life of mediocrity, now he was Peter Parker, AKA The 'Spectacular/Amazing' Spider-Man'. A character that had always been in his top five favourite superhero list.

He had fallen in love with the character when he was first exposed to the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man films. That plus other great media like 'The Spectacular Spider-Man' cartoon had cemented a spot in his hear for the web-crawller. Unfortunatly, the writers always liked to shit on him in some way or form. He hadn't read as much comics as he would like, coming from a poor family with a father that thought they were a waste of time and money, but he had read a few and most writers seemed o be under the impression that the only way Spiderman would be interesting would be if he suffered in some way or form.

The women he love die or leave him, the city he saves hates him and Peter Parker always suffers so that Spider-Man could do what was necessary. He was determined to not have the same thing happen to him. He'd get his happy ending, damn it.

"Alright, break time's over." He pushed with one arm and landed on his feet. Tossing the book away, he headed over to his desk, where he continued working on his half-finished web shooters.

At the moment, he was working with pieces of rubbish he had got from dumpster diving and nicking from his school. Not perfect, but good enough for a Mark 1 webshooter. As soon as he got enough money and/or equipment, he was going to improve them. Becoming Peter Parker had reminded him of one thing that a lot of people would forget.

Peter Parker was a certified genius.

Perhaps not the most intelligent or smartest being in the universe but he was damn far ahead of most people. It was always ridiculous when Peter Parker remained poor, with his brains he would easily be able to make something and get some money or even get one of those work-from-home jobs. The only thing that really held him back was once again the writers need for him to suffer. One version of Peter Parker had his own company and that was this version of Peter Parker was going to aim for. If he was going to save people then he was going to make sure he could do that without worrying about rent the whole time.

"Peter," Aunt May called from downstairs. "Dinner's ready," She called.

"Hmm," Peter frowned and looked down at his webshooters. "I suppose it's better to have dinner first."

"I made meatloaf!" She called once more.

"I'm not hungry," Peter said quickly, the TASM films had understated one thing for sure. And that was how bad her meatloaf was.

Scene 2 -

"Do you really think it's a wise idea to recruit him?" Maria Hill asked, crossing her arms as she and Agent Coulson stood opposite Director Fury, the head of SHIELD, who was sitting at his desk.

"At the moment, no," Fury admitted honestly. "But I don't have much choice. The kid's been making a lot of waves recently."

"Our latest reports show that he ended up battling a man capable of shooting lightning out of his fingertips," Coulson hummed in agreement. "It was only last month that he fought that guy in the Rhino armour."

"He's also adapting and getting stronger," Fury frowned. "Our initial estimates of his strength proved to be wrong; either he's getting stronger or holding back less. Not to mention his tech is constantly getting better. He fought that punk, Shocker, and a week later has miniaturised versions of his gauntlets. Right now, we're just hoping the Spider doesn't get his hands on Stark Tech, God forbid. My superiors have taken notice of him, they want him. If we do it my way then at the very least he doesn't become a gun for them to aim."

"Fair enough," She frowned. "Still, I think you're approach could have been better. Showing up at his house in the middle of the night in his room was probably not a good way to make him like you."

"I couldn't give two shits if he likes me or not," Fury said bluntly. "Just so long as he remembers to respect me. The kid needs to remember that no matter how smart he is, no kid is going to outsmart me." He said matter-of-factly before his phone buzzed. He was about to ignore it when Hill and Coulson buzzed as well. Frowning, they all took their phones out. Fury turned his own and quickly froze when he read the message on it.

I'm accepting your offer, meet you at your base in North Astoria after school on Friday.

Fury blinked hard before looking up at his right hand man and woman, both of whom were frowning and staring at him with startled looks.

"Let me guess," Fury said after a moment. "The little bastard hacked your phones too?"

"Yes," Coulson nodded.

"I got a message that says 'make sure Fury checks his messages, plz'." Hill frowned before turning to Coulson.

"I got a message that says 'I hacked you guys, btw, did you notice?'." Coulson said before typing away at his phone "As a matter of fact, I did notice." He read his reply out loud before pressing the send button.

Scene 3 -

"Gloria," Peter said as he talked to his personal assistant whilst walking to his office. "Move my appointment with Murdock and Nelson to tomorrow morning, reschedule Jameson's appointment for the day after."

"That's the third time we've rescheduled him," Gloria said with a small smirk as she typed away at her tablet. "He's not going to like that,"

"God willing," Peter said hopefully. "Anyway, I'm just going to take care of a few things in my office, you can finish up your duties and head out."

"Thanks, Boss," She smiled brightly at him before he left her at her desk and headed into his office. He barely closed the door behind himself when his watch beeped. Tapping a button, a holographic display popped up in front of him, showing the face of Fury.

"Sup, Patch?" Peter asked casually.

"There's a new Spider-Man on the scene," Fury said bluntly. "He looks young, and right now he's fighting the Abomination a couple of blocks away from your building. Punisher and Winter Soldier are on the way, along with She-Hulk and White Tiger. But they'll take time to get there, can you-"

"On it," He cut him off. "Be there soon." He cut the call before taking off his suit jacket and tossing it at his desk chair. "Just another day in paradise," He grinned before opening up a secret panel, revealing his Iron -Spider suit, looking like it was lifted right out of the comics. A gift from Tony Stark for saving Pepper Potts from an alien attack. It was Peter's preferred choice of suit for when entering a situation with unknown elements. He didn't know who exactly this new Spider-Man was, he hoped it was Miles Morales, but he couldn't be sure. He took in a deep breath before reaching for the suit. "I hope I get back in time for my birthday present," He thought out loud, his wife having promised him a night filled with activities that he couldn't even mention in a mature-rated fanfiction.

"Hey," A voice said before the windows to his office shattered as Deadpool landed on top of his desk, pulling out his signature katannas. He stood up and glared at Peter. "Nobody breaks the fourth wall but me."

A.N: Hi guys, hope you liked the chapter. The idea of writing an OC as Spiderman came to me as I was rereading one of my favourite fics of all time, 'The Spider' by 'imjusttryingtofindmyway'. It's something I'd kind of like to do at some point. While writing 'Magical Spider' is fun at times, it can be kind of a hassle making sure it's also got enough Potter in it to count as a crossover instead of focusing. Also, no, I haven't abandoned the story, I'm just taking some time to reread what I've already written and am making notes for how to proceed.

Anyway, for this story if it ever gets writte, the pairing will be put to a vote.
