OC in HP world test chapter

Plot: He had lost count of the number of times he had seen the Harry Potter movies. He had even started reading the books. Never did he expect to end up in the very same universe. OC in the time of the marauders. Pairing will be voted on. For the purpose of this test chapter, the MC will be called Harry.

Scene 1 (1st person) -

I remember watching the Harry Potter movies; even as a kid, I had read all of the books once I was old enough to buy them. Never had I expected to be part of that universe. One day I was in my world, the next I was reborn in a new body that was decades into the past, thankfully I had time to adjust to living in a world without smartphones, Wifi and worst of all, barely any interesting media to consume. Imagine going from watching stuff like the MCU and Spider-Verse films to only being able to watch 1960s shows that you could only ever watch if you could sneak around to your rich neighbour's house.

My new family was admittedly far poorer than my previous one had been. The one good thing that I owned at the moment was an original copy of 'Amazing Fantasy No. 15', I was planning to keep that for as long as I could before I sold it in my later years. I remember hearing once that it was worth millions back in my time. I didn't have many plans, to be honest. I had just hoped to use my limited knowledge about the future to predict certain events and make a profit.

At least, that was until none other than Professor McGonagall herself had come into my home and dropped the bombshell that I was, in fact, a wizard! After convincing my parents, she was allowed to take me to Diagon Alley, where I currently found myself. I have to admit that I had mixed feelings about the whole thing. I remembered in the books that discrimination in the wizarding world against Muggle-borns was pretty bad, and that was after Voldemort had been defeated. Right now, it could be even worse. But as I came to think about it, it was better that I was here, where I could learn to defend myself in case I ever do come across a wizard with bad intentions.

Plus, let's be honest, I'm not passing up a chance to learn magic.

I couldn't help but grin as I looked around. Diagon Alley was a lot like I remembered from the movies, though much bigger in person. There were people walking around with all sorts of robes and hats. I saw many wands as well. One woman waved hers and cleaned a window instantly, while a man jabbed his in the direction of a pile of boxes, and they began stacking themselves together neatly.

"It's quite a sight for first timers," Professor McGonagall said with a small smile as she walked alongside me. "I remember my first time here; it took my breath away."

"I bet," I said, feeling like my grin was permanently fixed on my face.

"Now, we shall get your supplies, but first we need to stop at Gringotts to pick up some money." She said before launching into an explanation about what Gringotts was. I was half-paying attention as I already knew most of the information she was telling me about. I did listen just in case she had to tell me something that the books or movies didn't mention. But there was only one thing that was truly on my mind at the moment.

"Professor," I said once she was done. "After the bank, will we be going to get my wand?"

"Amongst your other supplies, yes," She confirmed with a small nod.

"I'm just curious, do wizards ever use anything apart from wands?" I asked, remembering that in nearly every bit of media with magic, there were always many different magical focus methods.

"It depends," She said in a thoughtful tone. "In the vast majority of places, we use wands. They are traditional, comparatively, they are also cheaper and better than other magical foci. A few people have tried to use staff's but they are really difficult to wield and much more expensive. Only really skilled wizards use them. Even Professor Dumbledore - the headmaster - only uses a wand."

"Cool," I said with a shrug. That was fine with me, just so long as I could perform magic.

Scene 2 (third person) -

"Why would you do that?!" James yelled at Sirius as the two and Harry ran through the forbidden forest.

"How was I supposed to know he stumbled on the treasure map?!" Sirius protested. "And how was I supposed to know that he'd be stupid enough to bring Evan's along with him, especially on a full moon? Blame Snape! I'm innocent!"

"Damn it!" Harry cursed as they neared where they suspected Snape and Lily would be. It didn't take long before they spotted them and the situation was not looking good. Snape looked to be knocked unconscious, thank god, but Lily was pressed up against a wall with a werewolf closing in on her.

"Is that Mooney?"

"No, someone else!" Harry told Sirius. "I got him, you two get Evans out there."

"What about Snape?" James asked.

"What about him?" Sirius asked.

"Just go!" Harry yelled, attracting the attention of the werewolf. It snarled before running towards them. Harry growled back and ran faster. As it got closer, he leapt towards it, transforming in mid-air until he was replaced with a large lion. Lion-Harry tackled the werewolf to the ground, and he managed to scratch and bite at the shocked animal multiple times before he was thrown off.

"Did...did he just turn into a lion?" Lily blinked as James and Sirius helped her up.

"What can I say? We have many talents," James said dryly. "Now, come on, let's get you out of here."

"I...what about Sev?" She couldn't help but ask.

"What about him?" Sirius asked.
