GL test chapter (DC version)

Plot: He knew that he was never the smartest or the strongest person in the world. As such, he never expected to be anything important in life. But when he finds himself suddenly waking up in a new world with the Green Lantern ring attatched to his finger, then he realises that he might just end up being important after all. (Calling him Harry for this test chapter.)

Scene 1:

"This cannot be happening," Powergirl hissed. 

Right now, the Justice League is away on some peace treaty; they had asked several heroes to stay and watch their other cities. She was watching over Metropolis, having thought that it would be fairly easy, given that she had the same powers as this city's usual protector, her cousin, Superman. Which was why she had been hoping for a rather quiet day, but instead she was now pulling her head out of a hole that she had made in some building's roof. 

Her powers had acted up, and she had ended up falling out of the sky. She wasn't sure why that it happened, but she knew it wasn't just because of the villain she was currently fighting. The villain who landed in front of her and had kicked her hard enough to send her across the roof, she barely managed to roll to her feet and stop before going over the edge.

"You know, I was hoping for Superman," Said Metallo, an ex-mercenary, currently a cyborg powered by Kryptonite, her one weakness. "But I'm happy to take his little sidekick."

"Sidekick?!" Powergirl glared at him before shooting red-hot heat vision blasts from her eyes. He side-stepped, the centre of his chest opened up, and a green Kryptonian blast shot out. Powergirl braced for the blast to hit her, but it never did as a bright green brick wall appeared in front of her, taking the blast head on. A moment later, a ten-foot green hand suckerpunched Metallo from above, sending him up into the air where he was caught in a green bubble.

"You okay?" A voice called, she turned around in time to see someone land in front of her. He wore a black undersuit with emerald green armour plates over his shoulders, chest, thighs and shins. Along with a pair of forearm gauntlets, each had a trio of triangle blades sticking out, much like Batman's. A green domnio mask covered his face, fitting to it like it was made just for him.

"Another Lantern?" She realised, seeing the shape on his ring and the symbol on his chest.

"Yeah, I was recently allocated to Earth," He said, extending his hand. "Name's Harry, nice to meet you, Powergirl."

"Likewise," She said, shaking his hand before looking back at Metallo, who was stuck in his bubble. "You know, I could have beaten him, right?"

"No doubt in my mind," He said sincerely, earning a smile from her. He was about to say more when Metallo finally managed to break through the bubble and land on the roof.

"Two on one, eh?" He said, one arm transforming into a hammer while the other transforming into a chainsaw.

"Oh, I am so over you," Powergirl growled, ready to charge, when Harry stopped her by handing her a pair of flowers he created with his ring. "Flowers?" She looked at him with a confused expression. 

"Oh," He said with an over-dramtic 'oops' face. "My bad, I meant to give you this." He said, concentrating and changing the flowers into a large war hammer. She looked at it with a grin before winking at him.

"Thanks, Handsome." She said before flying straight at Metallo.

"Powergirl called me handsome," He realised. "I can die happy now."

Scene 2 - 

"You know, when you said to me that you wanted to spend the night with me, this isn't what I had in mind," Harry said matter-of-factly as he hit a thug with a right cross. As he did that, Black Canary leapt off of his shoulders and hit two thugs with a split-kick in the air and landed on a third with an axe kick to the back. A fourth thug tried to tackle her, but she side-stepped, and he crashed head-first into a wall.

"What did you have in mind?" She said teasingly, sending him a flirty look as she very casually kicked a charging thug behind her without looking back, knocking him off his feet. Harry wouldn't have hesitated to admit that he had never been more attracted to a woman if asked at that moment.

"We would have dinner first," Harry answered honestly, deciding to wrap things up. Several tentacles shot out of his ring and grabbed the remaining men and tossed them at the nearest wall, rendering them unconscious.

"Well," She said, walking up to him with a bounce in her step and her hands crossed behind her back like she was an innocent schoolgirl and not on of the best fighters in the world. "We still have time for that later, just got to stop a child trafficking ring first." She added as she stopped in front of him. She leaned up and whispered in his ear. "Who knows? Maybe, if we finish quickly enough, I might get around to giving you dessert." She whispered in a voice filled with promise. His eyes lit up with excitement as she leaned back. He opened his mouth to ask a very important question, but she cut him off, already knowing what he was about to ask. "Yes, I'll give you me along with the actual dessert."

"Deal!"

Scene 3 - 

"Are you sure that this is a good idea?" Diana, AKA Wonder Woma,n said as she cut a parademon in half with her sword. 

"Nope," Harry admitted freely. "But given that we're dealing with HIM!" He pointed down the street where Darkseid tossed Superman at Aquaman. "We don't have much options."

"Though I wish we did," She said in a frustrated voice, walking up to him and placing a hand on his shoulder. "No matter what happens, I hope to see you at the end of the battle as you are. You might underestimate yourself but I don't. You are a great warrior, a valuable ally and someone I hope to have by my side as long as possible."

"I..." Harry trailed off, not sure what he could say to that. "Thanks," He eventually settled on before taking off his ring, his costume disappeared and he was wearing normal clothes. "I hope this works," He said with a deep sigh before pulling out a red ring. He placed it on and instantly he felt his anger and rage multiply by at least ten. A growl escaped his throat as a red version of his costume appeared. He shook his head several times before looking down the street and narrowing his now blood-red eyes at the sight of Darkseid trying to kill Flash with his omega beams.

"Harry, are you okay?" Wonder Woman asked but Harry ignored her in and walked towards the battle.

"I'm....I'm going to rip your head off!" He roared before shooting off the ground, hurling himself towards Darkseid who turned in time to get a large red mace to the face which knocked him off his feet. He looked up in time to see Harry create a large red dragon. The dragon charged at Darkseid who quickly got to his feet and shattered the construct with a back hand. "I'm going to punch your face in the face!" Harry vowed. 

"What?!" Darkseid demanded. Harry zipped forward and slammed his fist into Darkseid's nose.

"That!" He shouted before tackling him through a building.

"Great Hera," Diana let out a deep breath. "A red lantern ring on a man who had suppressed rage since he was a child, that's not going to work well for Darkseid."
