I spent a bit more time messing with this outfit- I'm thinking of them generically as 'Space Girls,' but maybe they're more like a Colony security force or something.
Anyway- I've decided that with their mode of transport, they need hair up or tied back, and they've gained the following accessories:
1) Ear-pieces. No comms, no bombs- everyone knows.
2) Greebles. What the fuck are those things on their belts? I don't know either, but they look more sci-fi than the two web-tex pouches. Maybe it's a stun grenade or something.
3) A holo-projector on their left glove. So they can get face-to-face updates from whomever's hiding in the command centre, keeping out of the way of the lasers.
4) Holsters. It was bugging me that they didn't have anywhere to stash their side-arms, and given that their strap-on tilt-rotor seats don't have seat-belts, they'll definitely need both hands free.
5) Lasers. In previous renders, I was recycling the blaster bolts from Padme's Handmaidens. I decided to use these beam effects instead- though they're too thick at the moment: Twice the width of the phaser muzzle.
6) Enemies. Not fully settled on what I'm going to have them fighting, but I'm most tempted by the big-eyed greyliens that look a lot like X-Com's Sectoids. In fact, the early story concept I'm coming up with is taking on distinctly X-Com like vibes.
Original X-Com.
If you're old like me, you'll know what I mean.
