The close-quarters battle in the gateway of the Goblin fort is taking up a lot of time, as my Elven Knights push their Goblin opponents back.
Throughout, I'm trying to give the sense that, while no pushover, the Goblins are inferior to the Knights, but also more numerous and less principled. In this sequence, one of the Knights is just finishing off one of the Goblins who helped kill her friend, not realising that the Goblin that fired the arrow is now hiding under the cart. As she moves past, looking for further foes to fight, he bursts out of cover to rugby-tackle her.
Initially, I had him using her knife to kill her once he'd got her on the ground, but then I wondered if she might be more likely to have the presence of mind to use her own knife to kill him as he tries to strangle her.
I can't quite decide, so I'll probably roll a dice for it.
