I placed the trap next to the orc to show the size difference, I'm thinking a hot animation could be where the orc sits cross-legged and eventually uncrosses her legs and the giant pole flips up scaring the poor elf trap.
I'm gonna try and limit the angles so I can re-use assets and backgrounds for more animations down the line.

I'm definitely going to make 3D content down the line but I want to finish a couple 2D animations first.
