Akame Ga Kill, Re:Creators and How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom would be my picks (though I may be biased as a LN reader of Realist Hero)
Also on the atomic, seems to me as if the scenery is showing that ever since he was a little kid he wanted to be atomic, but since this one is just for show he doesn't actually say it and instead cancels it, since clearly "atomic" is the trigger word given what we've seen in the Sanctuary when the activation was delayed by him adding "all range" before it (and thus allowing Olivier to pierce him, making the scene much more dramatic for his roleplay)

I look forward to your reactions to Season II and the upcoming Eminence in Shadow movie. I love how in the ending credits, they actually replaced Rose's name with "666".
Shadow's fighting style of is to just be barely out skill than his opponents. He does this for no other reason than it just feels cooler. It also makes opponents falsely think they have a chance. The atomic forces them to recognize they were toyed with and never actually stood a chance.
He's also got the benefit of experiencing mixed martial arts on Earth, whereas that world's martial arts are restricted by country.

Ones I have a personal fondness for are Classroom of the Elite and Daily Life of the Immortal King. CotE has been recommended a bunch already, and Daily Life of the Immortal King is a chinese one that's a bit more comedic in tone.

Since we are on the over powered done right series ;) .
My suggestions are.
That time I got reincarnated as a Slime.
Irregular at Magic High school (this one might have to be patreon only, i think people were getting clapped on YouTube for it.).
Possibly the best Dub I can recommend is Black Lagoon however.

He was indeed talking about the crowbars having potential, that was probably a translation error, or they just felt it sounded better the other way. Either way it can be related to either the crow bars or Beatrice (not Iris though). Some on that has read the LN might be able to clarify this.

I would love it if you were to watch Heroic Age after this. Such a great anime. It's a space opera that, if nothing else, seems to draw influence from shows like Gundam and Macross. It's most definitely worth the watch. Just don't stream it from Crunchyroll, if that's a site you're subbed to, the subs there are terrible, unfortunately.

The only wrong thing with this reaction... is where is the Hunter x Hunter puffy jacket? It always looked so amazing! Also, the special sword, if you notice, was the first one not to shatter in Iris's hands, as seen in earlier episodes

The whole thing with Iris is that she's extremely prideful, she's considered one of the strongest Dark Knights and has never really lost, the people of the kingdom look to her for protection, and so she felt she needed to win the tournament(which she has won previously) to prove the strength of the royal fighting style and her strength as a Dark Knight to reassure the people that in these trying times she's there to protect them and can do it. And then she was absolutely humiliated by Mundane, and then even further humiliated when she realized it was Shadow deceiving her, and through all this she has believed that Shadow is not that powerful, he has to be using an artifact because no ordinary person could be that strong naturally. And then he absolutely bodies both her and Beatrix the War Goddess despite the fact she was using an artifact, and when she goes into atomic mode and shows the range of his power, she can feel just how much magic power he has and it finally dawns on her that his strength is entirely natural, and he's like 50 leagues beyond her. So now he's beaten her, he's humiliated her, and he made her look weak in front of not just the people but also the King. The news article is literally just propaganda to try and overturn that perception. But you can see it in her face when she sees Beatrix off at the train that she's just broken. On a separate note, two actually: 1) Beatrix was looking for her niece, which Cid assumes is Alpha because they have a very close resemblance, that was shown when she asks him and he thinks about it and it flashes to Alpha. 2) That girl was Cid's sister, and she won the tournament because Iris lost to Mundane and Mundane, because he was Shadow, was disqualified. So Claire won by default, she would have faced whoever won that fight if Rose hadn't assassinated her father and Cid joined the fray. So if one were to rank the strongest Dark Knight's in the kingdom, not counting Rose because she's from Oriana, and Beatrix is a wanderer, Cid is the strongest, followed by Iris, followed by Claire. If you count the others, then it's Cid -> The Seven Shades -> Beatrix -> Iris -> Shadow Garden -> Annerose(probably) -> Claire.

An interesting thing to note:
In the scene where Alexia was practicing the sword drills, affirming her convictions despite inevitable death, clutching her sword ever so tightly.
And then it cuts to Iris, letting go of her sword, giving up, unable to cope with Shadow's power.
I really like the dichotomy between the sisters displayed here, kinda like the reverse of when Alexia gave up after Iris beat her in the past.
As for the kid, like another commenter said, the mouth flaps fit "Yamero" more, and if that's the case, it symbolised kid Cid reigning in Cid not to go too far.
Also, Atomic wasn't a blank. He aimed it at the sky, blowing away the clouds and basically changing weather, which arguably might be more impressive than just blowing up the city. So he still managed to flex without casually comitting genocide xD

In the scene where he first gets the crow bar, in sub he says, "I knew it;this one has real potential." In the dub tho he says, "I knew it she has real potential. I think in that scene he's not talking about the crowbars, but about Rose

I'M SO GLAD YA'LL WITNESSED THE MOST GOATED ISEKAI MOMENT OF ALL TIME !!! And your reactions were superb ! The thing with the laughing scene. Its a mixed emotions of him being able to live out his dream while at the same time being a genuine sociopath. I think when he asked the girls "Who's running ?" Was one of the few times he was genuine.

After that first "I am Atomic" in Episode 5, the second best reaction in this series is always that flash step here in Episode 20. It's always so good, and the lack of any motion trail when Shadow just poofs out of frame the moment his foot touches ground is a crowd favorite.
Also to answer a question from here, "Therianthrope" is the more correct term for human-animal hybrid creatures and may include shapeshifting abilities (though such abilities do not seem to be present in this story's universe.) Werewolves/lycanthropes are a subset of therianthrope.

He might not have actually blown up the town, but the sky rending atomic did actually go off. The mad man altered the weather by blowing up the clouds lol.
But this is definitely one of my all time favorite anime season finales. From the multiple clashes all throughout the city that happen so fast there's no time for anyone to react, to Cid bringing back the crowbars. It was a delight and I'm glad you checked out season 1 of this show!

Rose in that one scene apologized to her father as she was going to betray their country is what I assumed, so the last sentence was just her pledging to Shadow Garden.

I read it somewhere else, but it does make sense, imo: what he says as a baby at the end of the fight is actually "yamero" ("stop"), it's like him stopping himself from actually blowing up the city. Idk 100% if it's true, but following the lips I think so.
