Chapter 174: Pondering Skills

I spend the rest of the day testing out my new abilities and making more mind components in my soul to make efficient use of my minds without bottlenecking my mind component processing power. First, I test [Duplicate Swap] seeing if it will allow me to teleport into the dungeon; however, even with my device that allows me to see and control clones through the entrance, I still cannot teleport into it.

Next, I test the mana efficiency, teleporting all around the Nexus with the help of my now thirteen Minds and clones. It takes several tries and calculations, but I see that the mana cost is linear, with one meter costing one point of mana. This means that if I have roughly nine million mana, I can teleport to Lunaley Island.

Considering all of that mana will be used at once, or quick enough to not tell the difference, it means that I can't just use batteries to subsidize the cost of the mana, but maybe I can make an inscription to do something similar? I haven't touched portal technology in a while, not since the start of the flagship construction, but this may be something to study further.

Next, I test [Mind Boost]. I quickly find out it boosts my clarity of thought, focus, speed of thought, and processing speed, allowing for bullet time. This has good breakthrough potential. If it can give me epiphanies, inspiration, and more, it can come in clutch for a lot of things. I rate its potential use as good as [Inquisitive Perfection], which is already a great skill. The only downside is the temporary nature of this skill which starts at thirty seconds and gains ten seconds per level.

[Mind Gain] is just as good as I think it is. It gives me one extra mind for one minute per level, and my guess is that every ten levels, it will give me more. It's not so useful to be used constantly, especially with its high mana cost, but its purpose seems to be in high-stress situations like combat. Overall a decent skill but not possible to keep it active yet.

[Alter Duplicate] only makes minor, surface-level chances to my clones. Color, clothes, hair length, but it won't change things that are unique to me, like my extra long tails. Basically, the clone still has to be 'me' even if it has a makeover. It's a... 'meh' skill; it's possible it can become really good with breakthroughs, but ultimately I don't use my clones to pretend to be other people and likely won't plus I can't level all my skills without increasing my level cap too high, so this skill is perfect to neglect for now, although it does have potential to merge with [Acting] which is something to think about.

This brings me to my only new passive skill, [Identical Duplicate]. This skill is possibly one of the best defensive skills I have. Right now, it only makes my clones match my mana signature, but with more breakthroughs, it can possibly make them match my Vitality, mana reserves, and maybe even make them look like they have my soul! It is only an Illusion skill, so they won’t actually have a soul, but if it can fool others, then it does its job!

Of course, I can’t level my other Class skills too much; otherwise, I’ll miss an evolution opportunity, and considering my Heirloom tier, I’ll need more and greater achievements to get good evolutions which takes time and opportunity. Plus, I need to level up my Bond more to get good evolutions, so, unfortunately, I can't do much with this Class yet, but considering the current boosts I already got, the most important one being my [Many Minds] upgrade, this is good enough for now.

With my Class skills explored, I now have the task of figuring out what to fill my four new General skill slots with. First to consider is retaliation protection. Having a skill dedicated to hiding from trackers like stealth ring should be one of my priorities, but I’m not sure how to get a skill like that.

The next skill I will absolutely get is [Multitask]. I’ve been wanting this skill for a long time, and it can help with just about everything I do. It will allow me to do with one mind what I may take with two or three previously; this should allow me to make more efficient use of my minds.

Casting skills will be another boon for me, but it mostly has use in combat which isn’t a focus for me, and it’s not a life or death skill for me with my build, so unless I have room for them, I won’t get them.

Thought Acceleration and other Mind enhancing skills. I already got a class version, although it’s an active, a temporary one, not a permanent passive skill, so maybe I can double up? On the plus side, it will have a greater chance to merge with the active skill.

Sense Space is one that I am interested in, and since I already have projects that can make use of space study, I might as well take it.

Lastly are gaze skills. I only got offered one, [Fear Gaze], which may help getting out of dangerous situations but what I am most interested in is the potential of weaponizing my best skill, my perception. Imagine me being able to turn enemies to stone over ten thousand kilometers away; it’s a whole realm of fighting that may allow me to not even be there with my clones. The only issue is the lack of killing power for now but getting my third Class centered around this possibility is an idea I will definitely entertain.

[Multitask], [Fear Gaze], and [Sense Space] for sure; this means I have one slot left. Casting skills are going to be cut out from the selection for now, and mind-enhancing skills will also be cut since my Class is filling that role; for now, this means retaliation protection is left for my last slot.

Hopefully, [Multitask] will be merged into [Many Minds] or at least move over to the Class, maybe even just be gained as its fifth passive skill; if that happens, then maybe I’ll have room for mind enhancement skills.

I have already been offered [Fear Gaze] and [Sense Space], and the offer doesn’t go away unless I say ‘no’ to it, so I’ll take those now.

Ting! You have gained the Fear Gaze general skill!

Ting! You have gained the Sense Space general skill!

Instantly a new perception comes into view in a small radius around me. I can see the slight warping of space from the world’s gravity. I’ll need to dedicate a month or two to getting breakthroughs for this skill and visit that space-shifting rodent in the dungeon again. There are a few shared breakthroughs that I can try to get too, like perceptive pressure and perceptive vectors.

I’ll have to test Fear Gaze against dungeon monsters, but for now, I will try to get [Multitask]. In order to get the skill, I have to try my best to really do multiple things with one mind, like rubbing my belly and patting my head, or maybe I can ask Chyzu how she got it.

I opt to at least try to get the skill myself by doing some silly but difficult task designed to challenge my ability to multitask, and after an hour of doing the silly motions, I finally got the skill.

Ting! New passive skill available, Multitask! Would you like to accept this skill?

Multitask: Perfectly split your focus to accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously!

Ting! You have gained the Multitask Class skill!

It’s kind of a shame that it’s a Class skill since I won’t be able to level it up too much, but at least it didn’t take up a general skill slot.

Now for the hard one, hiding from perception trackers like Ruluna. I’m not sure how exactly to do this, and I’ll need to practice with Ruluna. This means that if I want to hide the location of the Nexus from her, then I need to go to the Lunaleyan Island. Unless there’s another way? In any case, I don’t think I can get it right now.

Mind enhancement is another difficult one to get; I’m not sure where to start with it. I can’t use a spell, Bond, or another skill; I have to find some way to enhance my mental capabilities by using mundane things. It’s possible that the brain may operate faster when in a dangerous situation, but if that’s the case, then shouldn’t many fighters have the skill? Maybe I should ask Esofy.

I send a clone into the dungeon to ask Esofy for advice. The first thing I see is that the forest has a large clearing made around the growing village. An airport is currently half made with dozens of people working on building the warehouses near it. The airship dock, or rather an airport, is a large open field where airships can land and warehouses nearby to store goods that will be transported from the monster dens.

The first airship is still being built, but its hull is completed, and the sails are being attached right now. Unlike airships for the Nexus, which has plenty of water to land on, the dungeon doesn’t have much water, so the airships are built like a boat with helicopter legs for amphibious landing capabilities.

I walk through the bustling village and several lumber yards. Monster slayers party at taverns, drinking wine while others clean gore off them and their equipment at one of the many bathhouses. The combat academy or, rather, the monster-slayer brach of the academy has moved to this village.

I go to the academy where Esofy is teaching students and wait for her lesson to be over before asking if she has any mental boosting skills.

“Yes, they are quite common.” Esofy answers. “Skills that enhance reaction time are the most common, but skills that increase your focus are more of a mage thing. A skill that covers all mental capabilities, however, is rare. You usually only get a skill that enhances only one asset, and even then, it’s not something that is always active. Your best option is to focus on improving what you already have and try to make it a permanent passive skill.”

I guess she’s right, plus what I really want from a mind-enhancing skill might be considered a class skill anyway and may not be eligible as a general skill.

“That makes sense,” I say, a little dejected. “How’s Tana doing?”

“She’s doing… well enough,” Esofy says hesitantly but stops putting up a front under my scrutinizing expression. “She’s been depressed and feels like no one accepts her. You don’t need to worry, though; I’ll make sure she will get over this tough part of her life.”

“I still feel guilty over rejecting Tana the way I did,” I admit.

“Don’t. You did what you thought was best, and you were right; Tana needs to find a healthier alternative, something for herself and not someone else. You are busy enough as it is; let me handle Tana.”

I nod and turn to leave, but Esofy stops me.

“Before you leave, Chyzu and I are getting married in a couple of weeks. We’d like to invite you to our joining.”

Esofy and Chyzu are getting married? They’ve been close for several years now, but I guess I thought this was going to happen. In hindsight, I should have expected it. What kind of gift should I get them for their joining?

As I ponder that, Tusile enter’s my family shop and asks for me.

“Alysara, I’ve come to let you know that there is enough liquid dark mana produced by the Mana to finish the Flagship.”

Finally, after years since I first started working on it, it will finally be done.

Re-read Chapter 107: Evolution Trees there is a part in there where she talks about how she will drop Tailoring once she gets her 2nd Class because she has Mana Manipulation & Acting

Colm Ryan

Actually, I think the best way to explain it would be that if she got one class at lvl 301, then one at lvl 1, then the overall lvl will be counted as lvl 302, and the xp required for ''next'' lvl up will be what is required from lvl 302 - 303. Its just that if one has 2 classes, then one will instead require the xp for 302 - 304 and then one will get both lvls at once once lvl 304 is hit since xp is divided equally between the 2 classes. I am not sure how bond factors into this though as it seems like its own thing and different from classes and does not give attribute points on lvl up and it seems to just level up faster the more Alysara understands it... But maybe we can say a lvl 300 bond that have 0 xp into it require same xp as a lvl 300 class and xp will be divided equally between it and the classes?

Pawzom Lz

Max Class Level yeah. She doesn't unlock lots of breakthroughs for the class skills to cap her overall level in the class, which in turn helps her Bond level. When your class hits certain thresholds, you get a increased difficulty in leveling your bond(something along those lines)

Squirtle

I was under the impression that Class Level is determined by skill breakthroughs & Bond Level is determined by battle/exp & familiarity with the bond. Isn’t that why her Bond is over Lvl 1,000 while her classes haven’t passed Lvl 400? But maybe I’m wrong or misunderstood.

SpaceGoddess76

This is where bond classes have an advantage I think, since it means that while Aly is stopping her strongest class from levelling up by controlling its skill lvls, the other classes will be able to catch up.

Pawzom Lz

Ok, I might be wrong here, but the way I understand it there is no ''catch up'' mechanics with leveling a new class. So if you have 2 classes, one at lvl 301 and one at lvl 1, then both the classes will require the same amount of xp to get 1 lvl up, and the xp will be split equally between them(with exception being if 1 is maxed out, tho I am just guessing on this part as I dont remember it having been mentioned anywhere, it just makes sense so I'm going with it). In other words, if both the lvl 301 and lvl 1 classes both have 0 xp into them, then the second one levels up the other will also.

Pawzom Lz

Sounds awesome, I had completely forgotten about that and she really do need a crafting class, which this would fix. If she could get Inscription as a skill that would prob get her an even better one since that class does not take it into account at all, with it mostly seeming to focus on enchants and tailoring. So getting Inscription, a crafting class, then fuse the crafting skills into Artistry then a future upgrade should be able to base itself around Artistry? Or maybe fuse the skills into Artistry first even if it will become a cursed skill, cure it with a LP then base the crafting class around it from the getgo, but that would mean having to wait even longer... Would be even better if this class was also a bond class, which could be possible if she get Artistry first?

Pawzom Lz

When receiving her first class, she qualified for a class called "Weaver of Fate", or something similar. It was based around Mana Weaving and Tailoring and honestly sounded awesome. Cursed, of course. But maybe she can get something similar that transfers Tailoring as its "seed skill". Or perhaps she can build towards [Artistry] which was mentioned a long time ago as a possible ultimate skill that would encompass all craft-type endeavors. That might be broad enough to encompass all her mana work without actually being mana based.

Collateral_ink

Thought she was planning on making a class around it but maybe I just remember wrong. Getting it into her race tho would most certainly be ideal tho since that means it would be inherited, which would be a good thing with it being an ultimate magic skill, which would synergise well with how magic based her race already is(especially if she manages to evolve her race into a magical species). Downside of this though is that Manipulate Mana/Magic wont receive class modifiers for her and her descendants. Maybe generic modifiers but not specialised ones for the skill itself, and with it being an Ultimate Skill its the kind of skill one would base one or multiple classes around. Though if she plans on integrating it into her race then maybe the idea I had further up in the comments about her third class being a crafting class could still work, just minus Manipulate Mana/Magic into it?

Pawzom Lz

How is xp calculated between classes? At least when it comes to combat.

Squirtle

Will she actually be able to get a class based on Manipulate Mana/Magic? At present, the plan is to transfer that skill into her Race using an evolution once it is cleansed. But, as far as we have seen, you can't have a class based on a Racial skill because, unless it's a Bond Skill Class, it requires the skill to transfer to the class to actually form. If that happened, it would rip the skill out of her Race, which...can't be good. Maybe I'm wrong and she can have a class based on a Race skill, but if she can't then that would put both her Sense skill and Mana Manipulation skill off limits as far as classes go. That would be suboptimal

Collateral_ink

I'm not so sure. While there have been hinting on her leaving eventually, this seems like a terrible time for it to happen when shes going to need Safyr's protection from the gods. + if she have to leave this way it means she will never be able to return. Being able to return would mean the consequences arent as high which means the trial would not be worth a legendary point. She is also going to need that point to purify her Manipulate Mana so she can create a class with it and turn it into Manipulate Magic to get a much needed power boost to help her weather the coming storm.

Pawzom Lz

Yeah, her entire attitude about the ease with which she can accomplish the trial is concerning; I mean, I get that she acknowledges it will be a lot of work, but at no point does she think it will be actually difficult, just time consuming. It's like she's begging the universe to smack her down. >.>

Collateral_ink

Excellent odds Aly's going to fail the Airship Trial and have to leave the Nexus. It would be super cruel if she has to fly off in a Legendary airship she also doesn't get an achievement for.

David Brims

That's a lot of effort leveling up to get another class only to use it something weak and generic...

Norbert Fuksz

Maybe with both Calligraphy and Inscription with magic ink it will be possible to create skill books? Books that unlike Aly's current ones that only contain her knowledge, makes it easier to learn the content thanks to Calligraphy breakthroughs and inscription runes that can save the authors intent upon writing the book to help pass on the knowledge it contains? The books ability to pass on knowledge and teach it to the reader could be boosted further the stronger the authors intent and desire to pass on their knowledge/skill are, which would make it more meaningful and higher chance of it becoming a magical item, especially if there is a culture around each individual only being allowed to make 1 skill book per skill, and never any more for that skill no matter what, even if the author manages to learn more breakthroughs, making it even more meaningful. This would make Calligraphy and Inscription mandatory skills for those who have mastered their crafts/skills so they can ensure their knowledge and skills not only are never lost, but far easier to learn, helping uplift the next generation to get farther with less effort. Would also make it FAR easier to encourage people to learn/adopt her new language in the future if she does go through with making one. And maybe all of this could have some interaction with Aly's The Eternal Archive title? Maybe once she figures out how to create skill books, she will get a legendary point for creation of first skill book, that she can somehow turn into a title skill that will allow her to designate a building as a library, in which a physical illusory copy of all skill books that has been entrusted to her and stored in her title/skill somehow will appear, having the same effect as the original while no longer being at risk of being lost/stolen/destroyed?

Pawzom Lz

I think its things like, can't grow extra arms/legs/tails/ears. Cant change height, but can make her skin yellow for example

Squirtle

Crap. Now that you say that, it makes a lot of sense. Damn. I was really hoping for that to be her Legendary point. For story reasons, whatever gets her that point has to be really special, so there are limited options. She can't make a Mana arc without enhancing her skill, so that's out. Can't do the Analysha (or whatever it was called). I don't like this entire idea of the Airship trial; that's raising so many red flags from a narrative standpoint. Killing a legendary being is possible, but again, it has to be story relevant, so the only real contender currently is the Eyeblight Assassin and I don't think we're ready for that confrontation yet. The only other option I can think of is if she does something truly out of character: sacrificing advancement in another skill; if she can raise another skill all the way to the enhancement threshold but then uses that Legendary point to cleanse her cursed skills rather than enhance the other skill, that is possible, but again it would be so out of character for her I don't see it.

Collateral_ink

I thought of Calligraphy since it is a visual art related to writing(if wikipedia is to be believed, I am no expert on the matter). I thought it would go well together with her bond(beauty) due to the art part. And since she writes books and inscription is her writing her language down with magical materials I thought there would be good synergy + if she makes a magical language in the future as she has been thinking about it might help also(for the written part at least). While calligraphy and cartography are indeed 2 different things, I felt it not unreasonable for several breakthroughs in Calligraphy to be Cartography/image based due to its visual/artful nature.

Pawzom Lz

Remember how Aly would have gotten a Legendary achievement if she'd managed to save the Runalymo by herself? I feel like the boat is similar - Aly won't get a legendary achievement for it since she didn't do it all by herself. I feel like that would be the case even if the boat IS Legendary. But I also think it will be Exalted, TBH.

David Brims

If the skill doesn't already exist, I think she might need to completely master it without a skill and then Magic and Divinity will coalesce and create the skill framework, creating the new skill and granting it to her already maxed out. That might be a Legendary and Fabled achievement; the first for "unparalleled mastery and knowledge" and the second for creating a whole new thing.

Collateral_ink

I like this idea about her 3rd class and agree with it! However I’m not sure you know what Cartography & Calligraphy are? Cartography is the making/drawing of maps. Calligraphy is the design of letters and penmanship, it’s a bit more complicated than that but that’s the generalized answer. I don’t see how they could be combined they are barely related. The only way I could see them combing is with several other crafting skills into an ultimate crafting skill that covers all crafts.

SpaceGoddess76

I am really looking forward to seeing what happens with Yggdrasil jr. Trouble is that I definitely see a time coming when Alysara will need to leave the Nexus (or be kidnapped for an extended period of time), and for obvious reasons, the tree can't come with. Since it is virtually guaranteed that this tree will be sentient, leaving him all by his lonesome can only end badly. When rearing god-like tree beings, it is important to teach them that the walking bags of fertilizer are good for things other than nourishment.

Collateral_ink

Exalted at a minimum is what I expect. It really ticks off all Kayafe's points: she hasn't been focused on making it legendary, so therefore she hasn't pissed off Magic, it's unique and powerful, and oh boy is it full of meaning; this is THE THING that will allow the Runalymo to be seen and heard on the world stage once again after ten thousand years of isolation and even in its incomplete state it was responsible for ferrying entire villages to safety. Come on, people! Let Alysara's Arc be born!

Collateral_ink

I think that boat will be a legendary item, being crafted from years of accumulated darkness mana, efort being put constantly and the fact that she doesn't think it will qualify as a legendary item. If not legendary, then a tier lower

Olivier Pascal

If there is an upgraded version of Sense Magic, i think it would be True Sense, not Sight as sight is just that, sight based(as in what you can see with your eyes only). In order to upgrade Sense Magic she will require the skill I think Sense Space upgrades into and then fuse them? One of the weaker versions of True Sight is Magic Sight and the one weaker than that is Mana Sight, latter of which all dragons and humans have. The other weaker skill of True Sight would be the sight based version of whatever skill Sense Magic must be fused with to upgrade it into True Sense. It would be interesting if eventually Safyr gets her Mana Sight upgraded into Magic Sight due to everything she has learned from Aly(maybe with her next racial evolution?), just a way for us to see that the impact Aly have on the world around her also impact someone like Safyr.

Pawzom Lz

Mana Sense is not yet an Ultimate Skill. In ch 69, Kayafe mentioned True Sense, which sounded like Mana Sense and True Sight combined. Aly would probably need to purify True Sight and then combine them to get True Sense

David Brims

Basically everything she creates is mana/magic related, so having a crafting class specialised for that would probably be better, and would synergise with Manipulate Mana, which is both a combat and crafting skill, which would also work with Inscription which she has not gotten as a skill yet.

Pawzom Lz

I’m surprised she hasn’t considered taking a crafting class. Getting a generalized crafting class could boost all her crafting. I say generalized class because while her only real crafting skill is Tailoring she does several other crafting professions that a specific crafting class might boost 1 type of craft and partially aid in other crafts but a generalized crafting class would aid in all her crafts and any new ones she learns or takes up. It might not be as powerful as a class geared towards a specific craft but with her experiences she could probably get a strong class. Look at what she can do without a crafting class then imagine what would be possible with active & passive skills geared towards crafting. I wonder if she can learn a few more crafts now and combine several crafting skills into a generalized crafting class? I mean there has to be some Ultimate Skill for crafting. Mana Manipulation, Mana Sense, Unlimited Minds are all Ultimate Skills so there has to be some generalized crafting skill that is the Crafters Ultimate Skill.

SpaceGoddess76

I think she originally took Tailoring to get her parents off her back about crafting. However now it’s a vital skill for her and I doubt she’d ever get rid of it. Acting only allows her to get into the mindset of something/professions. It doesn’t actually copy skills from other things.

SpaceGoddess76

I think curing the cursed Manipulate Mana skill is a prerequisite for her getting a strong magic class. It's gonna have to be her 3rd class now. She's been stymied going down that path for now, so she's aiming for another of the 'Ultimate' skills in the meantime. She'll be stronger in the long term but it does leave her a bit more weaker for now, at least her physical body. But at least she's making it ever harder to target her through the clones.

David Brims

I thought tailoring helped her create better enchanted clothing and maybe armor. Not sure acting can stand in for it unless she can merge them or something.

David Brims

Melee fighting was never a real option for her from her birth due to her stat weight distribution. But her magic stats are through the roof, and more importantly, she understands mana and magic better than anyone else in the world. She would make for an extraordinary caster if she got some relevant skills and bonuses for it. Magic items? They're great, but only in the hands of a competent wielder. Mind skills? Very useful support, but you can't win with just support. High tier allies? There's just the one, her motivations are rather fishy and Safyr can't take on a bunch of gods, let alone the calamity. With Aly's social ineptitude I don't see her making more friends, let alone ones that can actually be of help in such a fight.

MadGod

Hey What about her Tailoring Skill I thought she was only keeping that so she would have enough General Skill levels to get the 2nd Class. Is she gonna keep it or get rid of it or what? Also since her Acting Skill allows her to do what her Tailoring skill allows her to do couldn't she use her new skill slots to get skills she doesn't want to keep permanently but that she will be able to recreate with Acting.

Colm Ryan

I think that would fall under Magic Manipulation which is what Mana Manipulation upgrades into

Colm Ryan

I think she's leaning into what she's best at. And she is also working on her crowd control with the Fear Gaze skill. Even if she were to pick up sword fighting or karate, she would never reach God tier fighting levels in time to defeat a diety. If anything, going all in on mind stat/skills, creating epic magic items, and relying on her high tier allies seems like the only thing with a chance to match up with the gods.

SecretsOfTheVoid

Ah shit, I forgot to write color. No I meant her royal blue hair color. Not the length.

Tjark

Hmmm what happened to the tree she planted some time ago?

crue

I think that complete removal of the trait would disqualify the modification. However, shortening/lengthening/etc of the hair/tail seems reasonable.

SecretsOfTheVoid

Maybe she can find a "Miasma Manipulation" skill?

I'm rather disappointed about seeing her constantly neglect her combat capabilities, especially now that she knows she's gonna need them in the future.

MadGod

"[Alter Duplicate] only makes minor, surface-level chances to my clones. Color, clothes, hair length, but it won't change things that are unique to me, like my extra long tails." - Isn't her hair kinda unique too? Sure her family has it to but it's pretty much unique to her bloodline.

Tjark

This would be great, and an achievement for creating a new skill could be possible.

Yotedom

I hope her third class is a crafting class with [Manipulate Mana] used as its core, which she can then slot her [Tailoring] into(and [Inscription] if that ends up being a thing). That way she would get an Ultimate Crafting Class that would boost all of her mana/magic based crafting skills, while the items she make would boost her and others combat effectiveness even more. If I dont remember wrong then Alysara also wanted to pick up [Cartography] to take advantage of her scouting with her [Sense Magic] to make maps, so that would be 3 crafting skills(4 with [Manipulate Mana]). [Cartography] could also be a lesser version of [Caligraphy] or something similar, a skill which should also be beneficial for [Inscription] if that ends up being a skill, and if it dont it should still be useful for inscription + it would come naturally to her thanks to her beauty bond. Maybe [Cartography] and [Inscription] could later be combined into [Runic Caligraphy] or something?

Pawzom Lz

Curses cant be healed as they arent damaged. What is wrong is they are not in the right location(inside of a class framework), which allows miasma to seep in as there are no walls to keep it out. What is needed is a way to temporarily purify it(legendary point) and keep miasma out long enough for it to be inserted into a class framework. Though a bond skill for the specific purpose of purifying curses and keep them free of miasma for a while so she and others can safely integrate them into classes could be very good as it would mean legendary points wont be wasted.

Pawzom Lz

Food for thought regarding one of her last General Skills. What about an [Inscription] skill? I mean, according to the system itself (as seen in her evolution requirements), it's a brand new thing, never seen before. Does a skill for it already exist, created by the system when she made "The First Inscription"? Or, if it doesn't, can she make the skill? According to what she recalls from her time in the void, skills did not always exist. Somewhere, at some point in time, every single skill was created by someone. Why not her, now, for [Inscription]? I'm sure that would allow Alysara to get even more insight into how the system works.

Collateral_ink

I don't think she needs a healing skill. Setting aside her mana manipulation skill which lets her do that already, I think her Bond will become far more powerful in that regard later. Think about it, she essentially has the power to tell reality it would look more beautiful if it did X, and so long as her Bond level is high enough, reality agrees. Could she get to the point where she tells reality that nasty miasma infesting someone's skill is so last autumn and poof, there it goes?

Collateral_ink

She should consider getting a healing skill that she can evolve/combine in ways to allow her to eventually heal Body, Mind, & Souls (possibly including cursed skills).

SpaceGoddess76

She should study the dungeon entrance with sense space.
