Not charging again

It's a freebie.

Maybe I should switch to monthly payments instead of per content so I don't need to burden myself with trying to figure out what is and isn't worth your money, but I feel like getting paid when I create something keeps me honest.

Maybe I'll ask how everyone feels about going monthly after the next SE video.

Edit: Guess I should include the link so people know what I'm talking about

To weigh in very late. All your content is worth being paid to produce; your overall content quality is so far past others it is insane.

I’m a new patron and even though I’m here mainly because of factorio, I would have paid for your non factorio videos

I think you should make the content you want and charge for it. If you worry too much about appeasing people like me who are more interested in Factorio than variety games you won't feel like you have the freedom to make vidoes YOU want. Don't burn out trying to make everyone happy, because that will never happen. In the end the best content will always be what you are most passionate about, Factorio or not.

I like per video, just because patreon sends me an email to tell me about a new upload. I also would have paid for these two videos, especially judging by the amount of effort that went into them. One could say they share the theme of "difficult obscure games", but I just like the format where you condense a game playthrough down and give it a good edit.

Jman Zx

I like the per video model, I also would gladly have paid for this and the Marrow video. For what it's worth.

Wesley Ray

I haven't watched the video yet, but so far all videos I saw are great content. Monthly Patreon membership sounds fine to me too :)

kigf

That was an outstanding video. The content you makes great.

With two videos in the series I think you've established that this is also what you do, not just Factorio. I signed up for Factorio videos, but I'm a sucker for "I played a game you never heard of for 100 hours, here's an hour long video you shouldn't be interested in but are".I'll just hop up to the next tier until you start charging for all your videos, as you should.

Zik

I'm here for Factorio but as long as you're mostly that I'm okay with paying for other videos too. I will just set a monthly contribution limit if I feel it gets out of hand.

Lach

If you fear people wouldn’t be happy with non factorio content. Maybe there is a way for 2 separate tiers where people can choose what they want to support. But I believe most would support any video you make.❤️ And as a supporter you have to set a limit what you want to support/month for per video payment. Don’t feel guilty to charge a second time but expect less money.

Systox

Either way is good, here to support your content

Christopher J. Paulbeck

I just want to support these creations. Btw, I don’t mind having videos to summarize 20hr of gameplay in 30 mins.

YesWeCan

Listen, you need to have a little more pride in your content. I'm a patron of yours not for Factorio, but because I enjoy your content. If you'd rather switch to a monthly basis, I'm fine with that, I'm also fine with keeping things the way they are. I just dislike seeing these posts where you think your non Factorio content is subpar, when in reality it really isn't.

Zachary

I would rather pay per video, and wouldn't mind if you split the videos to smaller episodes. Each minute of your video is way more content the most full videos on YouTube. I haven't been disappointed by a video from you ever. You could cut your quality in half and I still wouldn't be disappointed.

Stephen Kretz

The one I released maybe an hour ago. I've already charged for the SE video this month so I'm reluctant to double charge in the same month, and especially for non-Factorio content.

Zyllius

You're the only person I've seen with the per-item model, so I'm not too familiar with it. What are you saying is a freebie? The vid on the 10th? Would be happy to go monthly if that takes the pressure off, but perhaps I've misunderstood Edit: Sorry didn't see there was a new YouTube vid released

SminkyBazzA

I’ll echo my comment from last time - charge for your content regardless. I’m you’re patron because I trust you as a creator to make content - no desire whatsoever to manage what or how you make anything.
