Weekly Update (07/04/2022)

This week was mostly spent on art again, but damn do we have a lot to show for it. From now on, every sex scene in the game will be animated. We're also going back and retroactively animating the scenes that were already in the game. Céline's handjob scene turned out great after animation, check it out:

We also finally got Annie's sprites all finished. For reasons I can't say quiiiite yet (wink), her sprites took a bit more time than most girls will. But alas, here she is in that cute sweater you guys voted for:

Also, we had a patron in our Discord server (thanks, HybridDragon!) asking about something we had back in the very first demo release, but removed from v0.1. Notably, the cute little head bobbing that Céline did if you spoke with her in her lab during a free roam. That got cut from v0.1 for the sake of time, but we agree that it was pretty adorable and we're actually in the process of animating ALL of the girls to do this. Here's what it will look like:

We plan to redesign that free roam talking menu in general to look a bit less generic too, but that's still in a bit of a prototyping stage, so nothing to show for that yet!

Finally, though this is probably less interesting for most people: Ren'Py 8 recently came out. This was a pretty monumental upgrade as it moved from using Python 2 to Python 3, so the inventory code was upgraded to work on the new Python version (man, we didn't even release it yet...). Thankfully though, that was the only thing that broke! Pretty painless upgrade, all things considered.
