Hi I just joined to your patreon community because I really like your style and I saw you got some tutorial, firs table thanks for the free brushes and the mention for this excellent basic brushes from Jingsketch as well. I really like this tutorial because you can explain thigs so easily but for me feel like this for more advanced drawers , I just started so I'm really like to learn the basics any recommendation where should I start any studies or YouTube video ? I wanna learn how to paint portraits like you, but I have problem with sketching first :D thanks again!

David

Is there any chance we could get a JPEG of the lineart? I'd love to try and mimic it for practice; I think the pose is so beautiful

Leanne Vermeulen

Oh yes I forgot to link that in the caption!! It’s a paper texture background from Max Ulichney’s paper pack! You can get it on his gumroad page 🥰

Lydia Elaine

How I can do the same texture background??

I HAVE to try it out asap 😍

MissFinster666

Really helpful! Thank you so much 😊

Kjadde

Of course!! So happy you enjoyed it 🥰💛

Lydia Elaine

Yay that’s so awesome!! 😍 I love his brushes so much! For the shading on the hair at the end I used the Marker Multiply brush, but I modified the settings of the brush to be a larger size so I can shade bigger areas with it! ☺️

Lydia Elaine

Love this video! I decided to go ahead and purchase Max Ulichney's brush and I LOVE the marker brushes so much! Other than that, may I ask what brush did you use for doing light shadings on the hair for the finishing touches?

Very interesting ! Thank you !!

Sophie Randriam

Yay!! Have fun practicing and good luck! 😄💛✨

Lydia Elaine

Very informative! Honestly the highlight of my day. It's cold and windy outside today, so no better excuse to sit and practice on sketching techniques. Thanks Lydia 😊 💞

Mandy

I've been waiting for this a long time ago !!! I love how you explain each thing and how you have the drawings !!!! it's time to study and practice !!! Thank you very much I really love everything you do and you are my inspiration !!

Amaris World

Of course!! 💛 I’m so happy you found it helpful 🥰

Lydia Elaine

So happy you found it helpful! 🥰💛 And yes! I used to use the Brush Pen for my refining process and it’s a default brush in the Calligraphy section of procreate! I believe Photoshop also has a brush pen tool that works the same way as well :) it’s similar to my Thin Liner custom brush and was the inspiration for its design ☺️ Also, I believe Jingsketch’s free brush set that comes with the Edge Control brush also comes with some extra brushes that are great for refining! As for the brush I used to shade at the end, I used the Marker Multiply brush by Max Ulichney except I edited the brush settings to make it larger so I could shade broader areas :) But a free alternative to that would be my Smooth Render brush which you can download in my Favorite Brushes post, which is linked in the description! 🥰

Lydia Elaine

This helps so much thank you!! 🥰

mangopangolin

Wow! So informative and useful: thank you so much! But also I had two questions: 1. Do you know any free alternative to the brushes you used for your more defined sketch? 2. What brush did you use to shade your sketch at the end? Thanks again! 😁

Yay I hope you enjoy it!! 😍 And have fun with your productive weekend!! 🥰💛

Lydia Elaine

I'm so excited for this one, thank you so much ❤️ will have a productive weekend now 😅
