I wanted to update you guys with some of the progress I've made in the last week. The sectional sofa is in game and I have to say I'm super proud of my first sectional sofa. I think its very versatile with a huge array of colours in both a woven fabric and leather swatches. However I have to say I won't be doing another full sectional sofa anytime soon as I really think most designs really don't need 8 different pieces. I already have a sectional type sofa in mind that really only needs 2 pieces...but that's for next year! ๐
I have also created what I hope to be base game compatible booths. Unfortunately after a lot of observation of sims getting on and off the booths, I realised that I had to keep the booths the same size as EAs booths as the sims really do use the entire length of the seat to slide into their final eating position. But with a few changes to some of the proportions, I have been able to make them appear as if they are much smaller than their EA counterparts.
So that brings me onto my final point...I would love these booths to be base game compatible, so I'm looking for a handful of testers that DO NOT have Dine Out or Journey to Batuu in their library to test that these booths still show up in game, snap to tables & operate as expected. Hola from Mexico City! I have finally managed to leave the UK and flown all the way to Mexico with Felix (Felixandre) to finish this years work in some warmer weather...however I'm sitting and typing this and its freezing in the apartment as there is no such thing as heating here ๐ We have only been here for 36 hours, but this city has captured our hearts and damn the food is AMAZING!!! Like beyond! So if you have visited here before, we would love any of your recommendations. We may be working for the next few weeks, but we do have holiday time planned during December.
This third part of spoons is focusing on items for restaurants. I have already completed slightly smarter tables & I'm taking the plunge and have started work on my first sectional sofa. Let me tell you it didn't start off looking the way it does now and its been a real baptism of fire, learning what looks good as a sectional and which styles should be kept only as standard sofa and loveseat sets....tufted sofas would be one...yes I already tried and failed to make a tufted sectional sofa as the corner pieces look awful!
I'll keep you updated along the way once I get back into my usual pace and have beaten the beast that is jet lag!

Loved brunch at Masala y Maiz (great donuts+people) and the little gem of a print shop next door, Macolen. Rosemary buns at Panaderia Rosetta are great. Also ice cream at Neveria Roxy, bring cash and maybe go daily.
