Weekly Update (01/17/2023)

This is a pretty short update, since the art-related work is getting done. For the most part, we've been toiling away at the code and writing for the game, and as you all know that's a bit harder to "tease." However, the small bit of art-related work we did get done is pretty enticing. The "funny" scene we showed off last week is all done! Colored, animated, the works. We're pretty happy with the result, which is attached to this post as is tradition.
Since we established a personality for our game in the last update (the cutesy bouncing animations and such), a focus with our art has been to match that sort of personality. It's a really fun part of development and we hope the outcome is something that everyone has loved so far! It's really satisfying to see characters come to life like that.
