2025-08-23 12:16:17 +0000 UTC@josh appreciate your honest review, would like to share how I perceived the movie in the first half where you felt it went off rails the theme of parenting. I think the first half love story was important for the son to discover his real self. So because he met her and they showed us the journey we got to know so much about the guy through his own self discovery, like for e.g. he thrashed people in the college fight, so he had this inbuilt anger in him. He likes girls who speak their mind which in turn shows what he couldnโt do, he sneaked out of houses and since they showed us the love story, we knew it was strong enough and worthy enough for him to stand up to his dad during interval :)
