Added 2022-11-29 08:23:06 +0000 UTCThere was a bit of back and forth in my head about showing the downsides of the miracle cure not working. Not only with buildings being destroyed and lives on the line, but also how the people are losing faith in Ladybug.
While I know we saw the people of Paris supporting Ladybug in the "Risk" episode, I wanted to add more stress to Marinette's situation, so I went this route instead. There's A LOT of little details in this one to help show why Marinette is spiraling and that she's not in the best mental state. Girl is going through a rough time!
Since it's not always clear what has and hasn't happened from canon in this AU, I feel it's also worth mentioning that Hawkmoth doesn't know any of the heroes identities.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that Adrien also doesn't know Rena or Carapace's identity! So much has happened in the show it's hard to keep track of it all lol
