By far, one of my favorite episodes to come out since Adrienette became a couple. They were actually not cursed?? And it definitely seems like the writers are hinting at their relationship still missing a vital piece. That line Tikki said to Marinette really stuck with me. If Marinette has everything she could want (being in a relationship with Adrien) then why is she still running off to be Ladybug when it's not needed? I'm probably delusional, but I would love if this is the writers bringing the story back to Marinette needing to love both sides of him.
THE LADYNOIR?? There was no flirting because, duh, they're both in committed relationships, but we actually got to see Adrien care enough to go and check in on Ladybug as Chat. I can't stress enough that last season, his character was so paper thin, he wouldn't have. We even got to see Ladynoir talking about their relationships, and the way they spoke once again reaffirmed my feelings that there is a missing component in their relationships without both of them loving both sides.
Overall, this felt like an awesome callback to old ML. I really hope the writers keep the ball rolling!

I'm gonna need you to keep drawing these because Adrien is being super adorable supportive boyfriend this season, and I love it, but he looks soooooo bad 😭 ...so I will just replace all these moments in my mind with your art 😅

Ive kinda had this pet theory he’s known since Kwamibuster but following Plaggs advice. If that was the case, him going after LB to admonish her a bit is even more endearing. I heartily agree with you though - the relationship can’t reach its full potential until all sides are engaged! 💯💕

2025-01-29 23:55:16 +0000 UTCAt least they can still be adorable through your art 🥲 I’m trying really hard to be nice about this animation and it is really cute in many ways but a lot of the character design changes give me the mega ick! I think (and is it bad if I hope?) that all the sneaking away and secrecy will be a good source of tension in their relationship. I think Adrien will be able to cope with it better, assuming he doesn’t impulsively try to spill the beans in a well-meaning attempt to make it “easier” for them, but I imagine Marinette will struggle for a while and Adrien will have some Very Big Feelings about once again feeling left in the dark by someone he loves. I really doubt they’ll be writing him finding out the truth anytime soon but I’m hopeful they’ll explore how difficult their relationship could be without complete honesty. So much of the LadyNoir dynamic is built on trust and seeing them both have doubts already hurts my heart 💔 (but also ooooooooooooo the DRAMA POTENTIALLLLLLL)

I would love to see the missing piece aspect written into the show, but I can't help but wonder how much of it will be about the Gabriel of it all. Still, is was such a strong start and I'm so intrigued!
