Added 2024-11-25 16:36:44 +0000 UTCI haven't actually used Clip Studio Paint extensively before because I was more accustomed to drawing and painting in Photoshop for the longest time. It also didn't help that, for some reason, my license for CSP got invalidated even though I bought the software some eight or nine years ago. It was annoying but it didn't bother me too much because I still had PS.
Recently, a friend of mine let me borrow a copy of his license and I've just been messing around with it; testing out some of its features. And man, I wish PS had some of it 😅. Some of the tools I used in the image above are just your default pencil and watercolor brushes with a little bit of tweaking but I really like how they feel and how you can manipulate them. They give a certain type of intrinsic texture that you have to do a couple of steps to set up in PS.
This is not to say that I'm gonna convert over to CSP entirely. I still prefer PS for certain things but I wish PS would implement some systems from CSP. That would definitely be cash-money 😎!

Yeah, I do like being able to change brush tips quickly too. Especially whenever I wanna get a certain look. But I just gotta get used to the program is all ^_^

2024-11-25 20:14:03 +0000 UTCIt's pretty crazy that it looks so close to what you normally do in Photoshop by simply using the default stuff here. Pretty dang neat! Funny enough, I've got a drawing tablet recently and it came with a csp trial. I still don't get half of the stuff that I'm doing, but it's certainly going somewhere. 🙃
