New Collector Design or Old One?
Added 2025-09-17 14:12:48 +0000 UTCI'm gonna pick your guys' brains for a bit. I'm thinking of changing the Collector outfit to the raincoat/poncho-looking one because it's simpler and captures the spooky feeling I want that faction to have, but there's something I do like about the old trench coat design that I can't quite fully separate myself from just yet. The only thing about the old design is it's rather tedious and annoying to keep redrawing. That's a major reason I'm exploring a simpler version like the raincoat one. I don't know though 🤔. Maybe you guys can weigh in on that.
So, what do you think? Which one should I stick with? Do you like the new design or do you think I should stick with the old one? Maybe you think I should simplify the old one instead?
Oh, I just wanna add on that I'm not quite done designing the new one. I'm thinking of adding some other things to it so I may make a couple of more drafts.
And just as reference, I have Asukaru in there without the Collector outfit on so you guys can get a sense on how his silhouette is changed when he does put it on.

Nice! I'm glad you're liking this one. I'm still messing around with their look but I do agree that the new one definitely have a more mysterious feeling

While I'll miss the organized mobster look that they originally had, I think the new raincoat adds a bit of mystery flair to the Collectors that I felt was missing. It makes you wonder if they're part of some doomsday cult than just some standard goons. Also, I think the transformations that were teased at one point mesh way better with these new ghostly coats.

2025-09-17 21:12:57 +0000 UTCInteresting! Thanks for the neat little story. I do like the idea of concealing their faces. That's why I had them wear hats with the trench coat designs so that you don't get to see their eyes. And I think it just looks cool. I'll keep the sinister bit in mind.

2025-09-17 15:16:05 +0000 UTCThe poncho raincoat design to me is much more sinister in appearance. It masks the figure. Hides weapons and hands. The hood conceals faces. One of the best concealment items I wore in the military was a white speckled poncho for Arctic usage. It breaks up the body forms blending into the terrain and shadows. I was in a concealed position within a meter of two soldiers looking for me in one exercise. They even looked right at me and never saw me. They walked off and I took them out silently. All in training but you get the picture.
